Revealing the hidden Honkai: Star Rail achievements, Ends Above the Means and Means Above the Ends, is a two-day endeavor. These achievements are just a few examples of the game's secret achievements that span multiple days. By completing them, players delve deeper into the lore of the ancient species known as Aeons and their devoted followers, all while embarking on interdimensional journeys.

To unlock these achievements, players must undertake the quest called Bestial Ferocity, which consists of two stages that require a daily reset. Upon completing the first stage on the first day, players are rewarded with the Ends Above the Means achievement. Following a daily reset, players will immediately receive a message initiating the second quest, Bestial Ferocity: The End, which leads to the unlocking of Means Above the Ends.

How To Start Bestial Ferocity

Bestial Ferocity is an Adventure Mission located on the Xianzhou Luofu. In order to start the mission, players need to follow the marker on Starskiff Haven, which is located next to the Jeweler's Pagoda. At the Jeweler's Pagoda, players can exchange Strales for Eidolons and other valuable items. Initiating a conversation with Foxian Gao Tang and the outworlder, Benna, will trigger the start of Bestial Ferocity.

Trailblazers soon discover that Benna is a follower of Yaoshi, the Aeon of Abundance, who worships by releasing foreign species into other worlds. Benna convinces the players to find the sheep at Scalegorge Waterscape and offers a reward in return. However, to accomplish this task, they must first go to the Realm-Keeping Commission and borrow a Diting.

Borrow A Diting And Meet The Three Benevolent Ones

At the Realm-Keeping Commission, players should head towards the left desk and engage in a conversation with Jingyan. She will explain that the Diting serves as a forensic tool, which can be borrowed for the Trailblazer task. The Diting enables the detection of the sheep's tracks.

By teleporting to the quest marker located at Scalegorge Waterscape, players can accurately follow the scent unveiled by the Diting. The trail ultimately concludes on the beach, situated on the left side before reaching the stairs leading to the Space Anchor.

To proceed, the Trailblazers need to defeat the Abundance Sprites that await them at the beach. The two Wooden Lupus are susceptible to Imaginary, Wind, and Fire attacks, whereas the Golden Hound can be easily overcome using Quantum, Lightning, and Ice abilities.

Once the adversaries have been vanquished, an individual by the name of Zhongshan will make her presence known. She imparts to the Trailblazer that the wolf creatures were set free by devout followers of Yaoshi known as the Unshackled. In a gesture of goodwill, Zhongshan proposes to facilitate a dialogue between the Trailblazer and the esteemed leaders of the Unshackled, referred to as the Benevolent Ones.

Listen To The Benevolent Ones & Head For Belobog

After concluding the conversation with Zhongshan, players should teleport to the Elixir Research Terrace in the Alchemy Commission, specifically to the F1 Space Anchor. It is here that the Benevolent Ones can be found, standing directly in front of the Space Anchor. As they engage in arguments, Jingyan proceeds to persuade the Trailblazer through text messages to dismantle them internally.

In line with this, it is essential for the Trailblazer to engage in individual conversations with every member. Subsequently, the Trailblazer will propose the introduction of Belobogian automatons to Zhongshan, aiming to establish peace among the Benevolent Ones. By sending a quick message to Serval, the Trailblazer will be prompted to proceed to the Silvermane Guard Restricted Zone.

Fix The Automatons & Persuade The Benevolent Ones

To reach Serval's location in Jarilo-VI, players are advised to utilize the southern Energy Hub Space Anchor. This will facilitate proximity for a conversation with Serval alongside Zhongshan. By interacting with the automatons and utilizing Zhongshan's override modules obtained during the cutscene, players can effectively repair them.

Each automaton should be interacted with again. To repair them completely, players must solve the Magflow Link Puzzle. The solution is as follows:

Once the automatons are linked, they will engage in an assault on the Trailblazer. The Direwolf exhibits vulnerability to Imaginary, Ice, and Lightning attacks, whereas the Hound is susceptible to Physical and Lightning strikes. Once defeated, Zhongshan and the Trailblazer will escort the Automatons back to Xianzhou Luofu.

Unlock The Ends Above the Means Hidden Achievement

At the picturesque Scalegorge Waterscape, Zhongshan awaits players on the sandy shoreline. Her request? To persuade the Benevolent Ones that the automatons are truly deserving of their "rescue." While Benna and Heathmann simply need a conversation, Tonya challenges the Trailblazer to demonstrate the formidable combat prowess of these mechanized beings.

Trailblazers will engage in a battle against two automatons. Both the grizzly and the beetle are vulnerable to lightning attacks. However, the grizzly also has weaknesses to ice and fire, while wind and imaginary attacks will be effective against the beetle.

Once the automatons are defeated, the Benevolent Ones will agree to release them into Xianzhou Luofu. Players can then approach the group after a lengthy conversation to trigger a cutscene. This cutscene will transport the Trailblazers to the Exalting Sanctum, where they must speak to Nannan and then the Benevolent Ones before unlocking the achievement "Ends Above the Means."

Unlock Bestial Ferocity: The End & The Means Above the Ends Hidden Achievement

Players should wait for the daily reset. Upon launching the game, Trailblazers will receive a message from Zhongshan, disclosing that she does not belong to the Unshackled faction nor the Xianzhou Luofu faction.

Following her guidance, players should return to the Exalting Sanctum, where they will encounter Nannan, the holder of Zhongshan’s present and her concluding letter.

It is unveiled, alongside the concealed accomplishment known as Means Above the Ends, that she is affiliated with the Masked Fools, devout adherents of Aha the Elation. The Aeon of Joy might be well-acquainted with the Trailblazers who frequent the Simulated Universe. It is there, amidst this group, where the pursuit and experience of humor and elation are believed to be the essence of existence, even if it entails sacrificing others.
