Co-host Julianne Hough, 35, expressed her mixed emotions about Season 32 of Dancing With the Stars. She shared, “This season will be a poignant and unforgettable one as we pay tribute to the legendary Len Goodman. He was not only a beloved friend but also a cherished presence in the ballroom. I am grateful for the opportunity to honor his memory and preserve his spirit within our show."
During the show's season premiere on September 26, the late judge was honored by renaming the grand prize as the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy in his memory. Hough expressed that Goodman was a remarkable inspiration and the true essence of the show. Goodman, who had served as the head judge of the ABC competition series since its debut in 2005, sadly passed away at 78 in April due to prostate cancer. His retirement from DWTS was announced five months prior to his death, after season 31.
Reacting to the news, Hough expressed her thoughts on Instagram with a heartfelt and lengthy tribute. She shared pictures of herself and the person in question throughout the years and wrote, "Your wisdom, playfulness, and class had a profound impact on all of us. I am forever grateful for the influence you had on my past, present, and future. It has been an honor to be part of your incredible life. You are a legend and have left behind a beautiful legacy. I love you always."
Although the departure of Goodman from DWTS was a farewell, the show welcomed back Alfonso Ribeiro, the former champion of season 19 and cohost of season 31. Hough expressed her excitement about their partnership, stating, "I am incredibly thrilled to be hosting alongside Alfonso. We have been friends for over a decade and have fantastic chemistry as cohosts. Being back in the ballroom brings me immense joy, and I am excited for what this season has in store. This feels like a full circle moment for me, and the show is where I feel most at home."
Fans can anticipate an abundance of captivating performances this season, as Hough hinted. With an extraordinary cast, each with their own remarkable stories, she is excited for fans to join them on their journeys. The cast's commitment and dedication to the show is astounding, as they spend countless hours rehearsing and preparing. Learning a new dance every week is no small feat!
Aside from her hosting responsibilities on DWTS, Hough recently joined forces with Blender Bites, a female-led beverage company, as a brand partner and investor. She expressed her admiration for their groundbreaking 1-Step Smoothies and 1-Step Frappes, which are packed with nutritious, functional ingredients and taste absolutely delicious. Hough relies on them to stay energized and nourished while managing her hectic schedule without compromising on nutrition.
