Pete Davidson has checked into a rehabilitation facility following his battle with PTSD and borderline personality disorder, according to various sources.

The 29-year-old former Saturday Night Live cast member's reported enrollment in the facility comes after he left a vehement and explicit voicemail for Daphna Nachminovitch, PETA's Senior Vice President of cruelty investigations. This outburst was triggered by Nachminovitch's public disapproval of Davidson's choice to purchase a cavapoo puppy instead of adopting from a shelter.

The comedian promptly addressed the voicemail, informing TMZ on June 6 that he desired a specific hypoallergenic dog due to his allergies towards most breeds. He believed that it was not a viable option to adopt one, and if it was, it was uncommon.

Davidson, who appeared alongside girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders in a video where they completed dog adoption paperwork, further stated: "I haven't witnessed my mother and sister cry like that in over two decades. My intention was to bring some joy to my family during a difficult time. I was already upset that the store filmed me without my consent or acknowledgment. PETA then chose to publicly shame us, exacerbating our grieving situation. I am upset. My choice of words was unfortunate. I should not have uttered those words, but I stand by my decision to defend myself and my family."

Weeks later, the star of "King of Staten Island" was accused of reckless driving when he crashed his car into a home in Beverly Hills in March. His arraignment is set for July 27th.

The Los Angeles District Attorney's office stated on June 16th, "We have reason to believe that Mr. Davidson was driving recklessly, causing a significant collision with a residential property. Fortunately, there were no major injuries resulting from this incident."

TMZ was the first to break the news about the incident involving Davidson, as he lost control of his vehicle while driving through the Flats neighborhood of Beverly Hills with his co-star Wonders, aged 27. The incident occurred during their collaboration on the film Bodies Bodies Bodies in 2021. It is worth mentioning that authorities did not arrest the Meet Cute actor at the time, and they ruled out the involvement of drugs or alcohol in the crash.

"The homeowner, speaking exclusively to Us at the time of the incident, revealed that the house suffered extensive damage to its structure, describing the scene as tremendously dramatic. Additionally, they disclosed that Davidson's Mercedes was completely destroyed.

Before entering his current rehabilitation program, Davidson had been open about his mental health challenges. During a conversation with Glenn Close for Variety's Actors on Actors series in January 2021, he shared that he had been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder several years earlier."

"I was constantly overwhelmed and had a constant sense that something was amiss, leaving me unsure of how to cope with it," the 76-year-old shared with the renowned actress from "Fatal Attraction." "But when someone finally enlightens you, it's as if the weight of the world is lifted from your shoulders, and you experience a remarkable improvement in your well-being."

The individual, originally from New York, also delved into his previous experience in rehab during a standup performance in New York City in February 2020. According to The New York Post, he revealed that he had utilized his time at the Sierra Tucson rehab facility in Arizona to craft new material for his act at Carolines on Broadway.

Content: This wasn't the initial occasion where Davidson addressed his struggle with mental health in a comedic manner. In an SNL Weekend Update segment in October 2018, the actor humorously advised Kanye West to consider taking psychiatric medication following the rapper's politically charged outburst supporting former President Donald Trump in a previous episode.

"Go ahead, take them. There's no shame in using medication for mental health. I take them myself. It's beneficial," Davidson, who later dated West's former spouse Kim Kardashian from October 2021 to August 2022, jokingly remarked back then.
