In Honkai: Star Rail, there is a duo known as Topaz & Numby. These two characters are part of the Path of the Hunt and possess the Fire Element. Numby, Topaz's trusty sidekick, plays a crucial role in battles, inflicting the majority of the damage with its undeniable cuteness.
Similar to Jing Yuan’s Lightning Lord, Numby possesses its own SPD and will engage in automatic attacks. However, the trotter will also participate in attacking when Topaz utilizes her Skill. As for Topaz’s Ultimate ability, it simply enhances Numby's abilities to deal greater damage, but it possesses no offensive capabilities on its own. Due to the pair's rather unique gameplay mechanics, determining the optimal Topaz & Numby build in Honkai: Star Rail can be quite perplexing.

Since Numby's follow-up attack deals the majority of Topaz's damage, the 4pc Firesmith of Lava-Forging set may not be the most optimal choice for her. Other sets such as the 2pc Musketeer of Wild Wheat and 4pc Champion of Streetwise Boxing, which provide universal bonuses unaffected by specific situations, are also excellent options. The differences between these three choices are relatively small, so players can freely choose the set with the best stats.
When it comes to Topaz's Planar Ornament, the Inert Salsotto set is the top recommendation due to its Critical Rate and follow-up attack damage boost. However, if players do not possess the necessary pieces for this set, they can also consider using the Space Sealing Station set.
Considering Numby deals far larger damage for the next two hits after Topaz uses her Ultimate, it can be a good idea to opt for Energy Regeneration rope instead of ATK as well.
