Guardians of Destiny 2 Embrace the Spirit of Spider-Man and Green Goblin

Destiny 2 gamers transform their Guardians into Spider-Man and Green Goblin-inspired warriors, showcasing an impressive crossover of beloved pop culture icons and the sci-fi universe of The Traveler

Players have the ability to fully customize their guardians in Destiny 2, allowing them to bring their dream character to life. For some players, this means channeling their inner Spider-Man or Green Goblin while playing the game. This is a common practice in games that offer robust character creation tools, as players enjoy creating their own versions of fictional or real-life characters. Bungie's looter-shooter is no exception, as players often use the game's transmog tools and various ornaments to create the perfect look for their guardian as they defend the Last City.

Season of the Deep is the latest season in Destiny 2, following the events of Season of Defiance and Lightfall. Players are tasked with venturing to the moon of Titan after receiving a distress call from Deputy Commander Sloane, who vanished alongside the moon during the launch of Beyond Light. The mission is to protect a mysterious creature residing in the moon's methane ocean that may hold crucial information about The Witness' origins and plans. However, the presence of Xivu Arath, the final living Hive god, is becoming more apparent in Sol, and she seeks to prevent the Last City from achieving its goals on the ocean moon.

Two Destiny 2 players have taken inspiration from the narrative of Season of the Deep to create their own versions of Green Goblin and Spider-Man. A Reddit user, Keyes9056, shared an image of the looks they created with another player, using their Warlock and Hunter characters. The Hunter player utilized the right combination of legendary ornaments and shaders, while Keyes9056 relied on the new Cenotaph exotic helmet to complete his Green Goblin look, drawing inspiration from Sam Raimi's 2002 Spider-Man film. The response from users was overwhelmingly positive, with many posting famous lines from the film and even re-working the dialogue to imagine what it would sound like if Green Goblin was a guardian.

The customization options in Destiny 2 are impressively diverse, thanks to the game's transmog feature and the abundance of ornaments and shaders available. With access to content spanning nearly seven years, players have ample resources to create unique and personalized looks for their guardians. Keyes and the other player's guardians serve as prime examples of this, as Keyes' tribute to two beloved Marvel characters demonstrates. Destiny 2 is accessible on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
