As part of our Summer 2023 Movies Preview, Screen Rant is thrilled to present an exclusive image from the upcoming Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse sequel. The image features Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy swinging through the streets of New York City, reunited once again. Fans will remember the duo being separated at the end of the first film when Gwen returned to her own universe. However, in the sequel, they'll be joined by a group of Spider-heroes known as the Spider-Society, which includes Spider-Man 2099, Jessica Drew's Spider-Woman, Spider-Punk, and many others.

Miles struggled with his responsibilities as Spider-Man after the death of Peter Parker in his universe, but with the help of the other Spider-heroes, he found the strength to save his world from Kingpin's evil plan. Now, the multiverse is in trouble again, and Miles must team up with old friends and new heroes to save the day. It's unclear how Miles will interact with the Spider-Society, but as a newer Spider-Man with a different origin story, he may have a unique understanding of what it means to be a hero and how to be the best version of Spider-Man based on his own experiences.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has been split into two movies, with the second installment, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, scheduled for release on March 29, 2024. The film is helmed by an impressive team of directors, including Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and David Callaham, while the script is penned by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson. This highly anticipated sequel boasts an all-star cast, featuring the likes of Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, Oscar Isaac, Andy Samberg, and many more talented actors.
