Garcelle Beauvais shared her thoughts on the recent headlines from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, starting with her opinion on the new cast members. "It's going to be fun. I think we're all excited and ready to play. In the past seasons, we were a little timid," said Garcelle, 57, exclusively to We at the 49th Annual Gracie Awards Gala on Tuesday, May 21, at The Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire Hotel. "This energy is great."
It has been widely reported that Bozoma Saint John and Amanda de Cadenet will be joining the RHOBH cast for season 14, although Bravo has not confirmed this news yet. These reported casting additions come after Annemarie Wiley and Crystal Kung Minkoff left the show.
Following the news of her separation from husband PK Kemsley after nine years of marriage, Dorit Kemsley is also set to return to the show.
Garcelle expressed her feelings about her castmate's situation, sharing that she was not shocked, but rather disappointed by the sad news. She emphasized the difficulty of the situation, especially when young children are involved. (Dorit, 47, and PK, 56, share son Jagger, 10, and daughter Phoenix, 8.)
Despite the news, Garcelle revealed that she has only had brief interactions with Dorit since the news came out. She mentioned that she has not had a chance to have a one-on-one conversation with her Bravo co-star.
RHOBH season 14 will feature the return of Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, and Sutton Stracke, along with Garcelle and Dorit. Garcelle has also revealed that Kathy Hilton will be making a big comeback to the show.

“She has already started,” Garcelle gushed of the Hilton family matriarch. “I love her.”
Garcelle also shared with Us about her recent recognition at the Gracie Awards for her 2023 movie Black Girl Missing. The Gracies celebrate outstanding accomplishments in media that focus on women, by women, and about women in various forms of news and entertainment.
"It's an incredible feeling. Just thinking about it," she expressed to Us. "With this movie, our goal was to raise awareness and have a few viewers."
Black Girl Missing debuted on Lifetime in March 2023, showcasing the journey of a mother named Cheryl (played by Garcelle) as she searches for her missing daughter. Despite the police dismissing the case and focusing on a missing white girl instead, Cheryl enlists the help of a group of amateur internet detectives from the community.
Garcelle expressed her surprise at the overwhelming response to the movie, stating that it quickly gained popularity and became a trending topic. On the night it premiered, the viewership numbers were outstanding, leading to the film receiving awards. According to Garcelle, creating something with genuine emotions and passion often leads to remarkable outcomes.
