What mysteries will Season 23 reveal? Last season focused heavily on deckbuilding, and we expect Bungie to introduce new concepts this season. Stay tuned as we update this section with guides, as we uncover the secrets of Season of the Wish.
Season of the Wish storyline
Choose your words wisely. A cautionary tale when dealing with Ahamkara, enigmatic beings that have a knack for twisting desires into unexpected outcomes. The return of the Ahamkara in Destiny 2 concludes a storyline that dates back years and was hinted at in Forsaken's Last Wish raid.
Season of the Wish seasonal activity
In the Imabaru Engine, a hidden Ahamkara egg has been uncovered by players, which they can use as leverage with the wish dragon, Riven, in order to gain access to the Traveler and finally confront the Witness. This may also shed light on how Cayde-6 manages to return after being presumed dead for years.
Season of the Wish seasonal activity
This season introduces a new matchmade activity called Riven's Lair, an arena filled with Hive and Scorn who will try to hinder your progress. Utilizing some powerful Exotic weapons should help overcome this obstacle.
Season of the Wish Legendary-class weapons
Some of the new weapons you'll unlock in Season 23Supercluster - Strand shotgun
Scatter Signal - Strand fusion rifle
Appetence - Stasis trace rifle
Scalar Potential - Arc pulse rifle
Lethophobia - Void bow
Doomed Petitioner - Void linear fusion rifle
Season of the Wish seasonal challenges
Similar to previous seasons, you can take on additional challenges to earn valuable rewards. Each season typically offers around 10 weeks of optional challenges to complete at your own pace, and finishing all of them will grant you a substantial amount of Bright Dust.
Season of the Wish Exotic weapon: Dragon's Breath
Dragon's BreathA classic rocket launcher from the early days of Destiny 2, Dragon's Breath has returned with new features. It now sports a design that complements the Solar 2.0 subclass and Season 23's seasonal artifact. The weapon includes a passive fuel counter that gradually increases when the launcher is not being used. With a maximum of five stacks, the fuel is expended upon firing the rocket. The explosive warheads can burrow into struck targets, inflicting Scorch damage and releasing incendiary fuel around them, applying additional Scorch stacks to any enemies within the area.

The longer this effect will last before a detonation occurs depends on the amount of fuel you use. Additionally, Dragon's Breath has an intrinsic perk called High Octane, which instantly refills the rocket launcher with two stacks of fuel when there are nearby ignitions. A fully refueled Dragon's Breath will reload itself automatically and its Exotic Catalyst causes Firesprites to spawn after enemies are eliminated.

As a passionate Destiny 2 fan, I am thrilled about the upcoming Season of the Wish. The return of the Ahamkara, a mysterious and dangerous species that can grant wishes, has been teased for years, and I can't wait to see how Bungie incorporates them into the story. The new seasonal activity, Riven's Lair, sounds like a lot of fun, and I'm excited to see how it will challenge players.
