Destiny 2 Season 23 Introduces Vault Accessibility from Orbit

Destiny 2 Season 23 revolutionizes inventory management by granting players the ability to seamlessly access their vault from orbit, streamlining gameplay like never before

Highlights

Destiny 2 players will finally be able to access their vault from orbit in Season 23, eliminating the need to visit specific locations or use companion apps.

Bungie recognizes the inconvenience and is currently exploring additional avenues to grant players access to the vault, potentially enabling them to retrieve items while participating in activities such as raids.

Season 23 will introduce significant enhancements to various categories of weapons, including Exotic weapons, Auto Rifles, Pulse Rifles, Glaives, and Sniper Rifles. The intention is to enhance their performance in PvE activities, and alongside this, there will be new PvP content and adjustments made to Exotic Armor.

Starting from Season 23, Bungie has announced that Destiny 2 players will have the convenience of accessing their vault directly from orbit. This highly anticipated addition will eliminate the need for players to visit the Tower or HELM every time they wish to retrieve an item from the vault.

Accessing the vault in Destiny 2 has long been a source of frustration for players, given that it can only be accessed at four specific locations in the game. Furthermore, if players needed to retrieve something from their vaults while actively playing, they were required to physically travel to the designated location. Although there are a few companion apps for Destiny 2 that allow for quicker access to the vault, even those require players to switch to a separate app. Fortunately, with this new feature, players will finally have relief from this inconvenience and be able to access their vaults directly without relying on external apps.

In a recent update, Bungie shared exciting news for Destiny players. Starting Season 23, players will now be able to access their vaults directly from orbit. This means that they can easily retrieve items without leaving their current activity, such as a raid or other missions in Destiny 2. However, Bungie recognizes that this still adds only one more location for vault access. To address this limitation, the developers are actively exploring the possibility of introducing "additional areas" where players can conveniently access their vaults. In addition to this improvement, the post also highlights significant changes to Ghost Mods and adjustments to the Glimmer cost for purchases from Master Rahool.

Destiny 2 Season 23 is bringing significant changes to Exotic weapons, specifically for PvE activities. Auto Rifles, Pulse Rifles, Glaives, and Sniper Rifles will also undergo reworks to enhance their effectiveness in PvE. Additionally, Season 23 will introduce abundant PvP content, including the new Iron Banner mode named Tribute. Destiny 2 Season 23 will continue tuning Exotic Armor, aiming to strengthen lesser-used Exotics and weaken overpowered ones.

In another significant change, Bungie plans to eliminate Legendary Shards from Destiny 2. This in-game currency will gradually be phased out, starting from Season 23 and ultimately being fully removed with the release of the Final Shape expansion. Consequently, the in-game economy will receive a revamp in the upcoming season to accommodate the absence of Legendary Shards.

Destiny 2 is currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
