Earn candy and don masks to take part in exclusive events called Haunted Sectors and face off against the Headless Ones to win rewards and weapons.

The drop rate for Eerie Engrams has been boosted in the regular Haunted Sectors playlist, while the drop rate in the Legendary Haunted Sectors playlist remains unchanged but presents a greater challenge.

Bungie has adjusted the drop rate for Eerie Engrams during the Festival of the Lost event in Destiny 2, making them more easily obtainable for players. Festival of the Lost is Destiny 2's Halloween-themed celebration, where The Tower social zone is adorned with candles, spider webs, jack o' lanterns, and spooky sound effects. Players can don masks of various NPCs or enemies, earn candy, and participate in Haunted Sectors to challenge Headless Ones for unique rewards and weapons.

The event is only available for a limited time, and while the core gameplay remains unchanged, Bungie has made a few adjustments for this year's rendition. Eerie Engrams are a new resource that players can acquire by playing through Haunted Lost Sectors. These engrams can be brought back to Eva Levante for focusing. Destiny 2 players can use them to obtain Festival of the Lost weapons, or combine them with candy to acquire exotic gear. However, many players have found it more difficult than anticipated to earn Eerie Engrams, as the rewards are completely randomized.

Good news for players! Bungie has increased the drop rate of Eerie Engrams in Destiny 2. The official Bungie Support account announced on social media that the drop rate for Eerie Engrams has been raised in the normal Haunted Sectors playlist. However, it is worth noting that the drop rate remains the same in the Legendary Haunted Sectors playlist, which is already higher than the other playlist but offers a greater challenge to players.

This change has been well-received by the community, particularly by those who had been putting off participating in the Halloween-inspired event. Some players also took the opportunity to comment on the drop rates of the Festival of the Lost Momento, expressing their opinion that it feels too rare. It has been discovered that the unique Lost Momento can be continuously obtained by opening Eerie Engrams after completing the initial Twilight Triumph and using the memento. However, the drop rate of the Lost Momento from Eerie Engrams seems to be quite low, with some players having to open more than 20 Engrams before obtaining it.

Fans are not only providing feedback but also expressing frustration regarding the use of premium currency, such as Silver, to purchase masks in Destiny 2's Eververse store. The concern lies in the fact that these masks lose their functionality once the Festival of the Lost event concludes, rendering them worthless, thus making the idea of spending money on them for just a few weeks unappealing to many players.

Destiny 2 is currently accessible on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
