Destiny 2 Introduces Exciting New Mode of Transportation: The Hoverboard-Inspired Skimmer

Bungie recently introduced a new type of vehicle for Destiny 2, known as Skimmers. These hoverboards offer players a fresh alternative to the traditional Sparrow. Skimmers not only serve as a means of transportation but also allow players to perform tricks and grind rails.
Unlike the various versions of Sparrows released by Bungie in the past, Skimmers fall into a new Exotic vehicle category. Despite sharing the same slot as Sparrows, Skimmers are designed to be more lightweight. According to the Destiny 2 blog, Guardians can expect to glide around in style, looking incredibly cool on their hoverboard-like Skimmers.
The vehicle is being introduced to the game as part of the Guardian Games All-Stars. Players have the opportunity to earn the Allstar Vector Skimmer, which can be easily obtained from NPC Eva Levante after completing the onboarding quest. However, to keep the Skimmer permanently, players will need to complete the Drop In quest.
Additionally, a second Skimmer will be offered for purchase in the Eververse store. Bungie has stated that this Skimmer is "inspired by a beloved Destiny weapon."
The Skimmer is making its debut in this year's Guardian Games, back for its fifth year of competition between Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans.
Teams of six can join the worldwide Guardian Games Cup, happening from March 5 to March 26. The champions will receive a life-sized replica of the Allstar Vector Skimmer, personalized with the names of all team members.
