Engaging in the Presage mission enables players to acquire deepsight variations of the scout rifle, essential for the process of crafting. Additionally, they can obtain non-deepsight versions that may potentially possess superior attributes for their desired god rolls.

Starting from Season 22, Xur will no longer offer the Dead Man's Tale. Instead, it will be included in the Exotic Mission Rotator, where a different mission will be featured each week, offering specific loot.

Bungie has announced exciting changes coming to Destiny 2 in Season 22, which includes the return of the exotic mission Presage. For the first time, players will be able to craft the Dead Man's Tale scout rifle. As the Season of the Deep nears its end, fans are eagerly anticipating what lies ahead. August is set to be a significant month for Destiny fans, with Bungie's highly anticipated Final Shape showcase and the arrival of Season 22.

Bungie has shared more information about the upcoming Season 22 of Destiny 2, specifically focusing on gameplay changes. In a recent blog post, Bungie highlighted adjustments to ritual rewards and the game's economy. The studio announced that players will now have higher odds of earning a ritual engram after participating in activities such as Vanguard strikes, Gambit, or the Crucible. Additionally, the hard caps for masterwork materials will be increased.

In the same blog post, Bungie confirmed the return of the Presage mission in the Exotic Mission Rotator, allowing players to farm the Deep Stone Crypt Raid exotic scout rifle, DMT, by running Presage and earning deepsight or red border versions. These versions can then be used for crafting purposes. The non-deepsight versions of the exotic scout can also be found, providing players with incentive to challenge Praksis repeatedly in order to potentially find a powerful roll.

Dead Man's Tale Exotic Receives Game-Changing Update in Destiny 2 Season 22

In Season 22, Bungie made significant changes to Xur, the weekend merchant in Destiny 2. Previously, Xur offered exotic armor for each class, a random exotic weapon, random rolls for Dead Man's Tale and Hawkmoon, as well as a set of legendary weapons and armor. However, with the return of Presage and the scout rifle becoming available through crafting or as a randomized drop, there are alterations to Xur's offerings.

Notably, starting from Season 22, Xur will no longer include the Dead Man's Tale in his inventory. It is likely that Hawkmoon will face the same fate once its Harbinger mission joins the Exotic Mission Rotator.

Previously mentioned in a state of the game blog by Joe Blackburn, the game director of Destiny 2, the Exotic Mission Rotator will function in a similar manner to the current Raid and Dungeon rotator. Each week, the highlighted mission will change, providing players with a seven-day window to complete encounters and acquire specific loot. During Season 22, Presage, Vox Obscura, and Operation: Seraph's Shield were specifically identified as available missions, with the possibility of additional missions being included in the future.

Destiny 2 can be played on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
