Zelda's Epic Vehicle Design Draws Inspiration from Avatar

Get ready to be blown away as The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player showcases an awe-inspiring vehicle inspired by Avatar: The Last Airbender This masterpiece is a true testament to the creativity and ingenuity of gamers

A player of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom impressed social media users with their creation of a vehicle inspired by Avatar: The Last Airbender. This is just one example of the many impressive creations that have been shared by players since the game's release on May 12th. Tears of the Kingdom builds upon its predecessor, with enhancements to Link's magical powers such as Ultrahand - an ability that allows players to manipulate and combine objects to construct unique structures and vehicles.

A Reddit user by the name of Alphey4406 was inspired by Avatar: The Last Airbender when creating a machine resembling a Sand-Sailer from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. They even shared a short clip of Link braving the Gerudo desert on their custom-made vehicle, with the mast and sail serving as purely cosmetic additions to complete the Sand-Sailer look. However, since this machine relies on Zonai Energy Cells, it's only recommended for Tears of the Kingdom players with a mid-game battery reserve.

Using Tears of the Kingdom's Ultrahand ability, Link can construct various types of vehicles in the new Zelda game, including carriages, cars, boats, balloons, airplanes, skateboards, and hovercrafts. Zonai Energy Cells function as a stamina meter for vehicles, allowing for efficient traversal without compromising the challenge of facing enemies. Although flying is the easiest mode of transportation in Hyrule, Tears of the Kingdom sets a time limit of 60 seconds for common components like Zonai Wings, which some players find too restrictive. As a result, there have been calls for Nintendo to provide a way to bypass this mechanic in the endgame.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now on Switch.
