Part 1 of the Southern Charm reunion brought up some major questions about Olivia Flowers’ past with Thomas Ravenel.
On the January 11 episode, Taylor Ann Green encouraged Olivia, 31, to reveal her brief relationship with Thomas, 61, who was fired from Bravo after facing sexual assault allegations in 2018.
"I was just out of college, 20 years old. Naive. [It was a] drunken mistake. Just once," Olivia confessed to viewers. "I hooked up with T-Rav. I wanted to keep it a secret forever, who wouldn't?"
Olivia and Thomas did not meet on the Bravo show, but were acquainted outside of the series. In the season 8 reunion, which aired in 2022, Olivia mentioned Thomas as a "family friend."
Taylor's attempt to confront her former friend came after she confessed to hooking up with Olivia's ex-boyfriend, Austen Kroll, and lying about it. Taylor tried to draw a comparison between Olivia's night with Thomas and her own actions, referencing former Southern Charm star Kathryn Dennis, who shares two children with Thomas. (Thomas and Kathryn ended their relationship in 2016 and have two children together, Kensie, 9, and Saint, 8.)

The ploy took an unexpected turn when 32-year-old Kathryn came to Olivia’s defense after the hookup was revealed. Thomas, upon hearing his name on TV again, emerged with alleged details about the situation. (Us reached out to a representative for Olivia after Thomas's interview.)

When Did Olivia and Thomas Hookup — and Was He Dating Kathryn at the Time?
Thomas stated that his hookup with Olivia occurred in January 2017 before claiming that there were inaccuracies in her version of events. He informed the All About the Tea blog on Friday, January 12, that Olivia was actually 24 years old and living in Atlanta at the time, not 20 as she had stated in the reunion. He also confirmed that he and Kathryn had been separated for years when they had their hookup.
Was Olivia Friends With Kathryn When She Hooked Up With Thomas?
Taylor insisted to Olivia during the reunion that it was five years ago, following the birth of baby No. 2. The reunion was recorded in December 2023, aligning with Thomas' timeline in 2017.
Taylor alleged at the reunion that Olivia had been untruthful to Kathryn, her "friend and confidant," about her involvement with Thomas. Olivia's main concern was Taylor's intrusion into her personal life.
"I didn't even know Kathryn at that time," Olivia countered. "I only met her after it happened."
After leaving Southern Charm before season 9, Kathryn posted an Instagram message in response to the reunion, assuring her friend that she did nothing wrong and that they have never been closer. The post included three photos of Kathryn and Olivia.
Who Knew About Olivia and Thomas’ Hookup?
It came as no surprise to Southern Charm viewers that Madison LeCroy appeared to have knowledge of the hookup from last year. At the season 8 reunion, she disclosed that there had been an incident between Olivia and Thomas in the past.
Olivia denied the hookup with Thomas, stating that he was like a family friend. She later revealed to Taylor that she was the only person she had confided in about the truth and expressed frustration at Taylor's attempt to use it against her.

Olivia described Thomas as a "family friend," while Thomas stated that he had been part of the arrangements for Olivia's brother's funeral the previous year. "I delivered a heartfelt eulogy at her brother's funeral," Thomas shared with All About the Tea, referring to Olivia's late brother, Conner Flowers, whose accidental overdose was linked to a prescription medication addiction stemming from his years-long battle with Lyme disease.
"I have always treated her with respect, so I'm unsure why she chose to be rude to me," he remarked. "It was a cheap shot and unnecessary. I hope they cease using me to boost ratings."
