During the latest episode of Southern Charm, Olivia Flowers expressed concerns about the relationship timeline of Taylor Ann Green and Austen Kroll. Olivia, 31, shared with Shep Rose that Taylor had mentioned having a conversation about a potential relationship with Austen, but the timing of it seemed off. This revelation took Olivia by surprise.
Olivia, who dated Austen, aged 36, last year, revealed that the conversation about Taylor, aged 28, and Austen's relationship took place "after New York." (The cast gathered in NYC in September 2022 to film the season 8 reunion. During that time, Olivia confirmed that she and Austen had recently broken up — although she later mentioned that he had tried to reconcile before the end of the year.)
“You were both spending time together back then. You and Austen," Shep, aged 43, observed, to which Olivia agreed. "It's just messy. It's just not a good situation," she added.
Olivia proceeded to update Shep on the rest of her conversation with Taylor. "She said, 'I spoke to my brother about it. He spoke to his sister about it.' It's unbelievable," Olivia shared.
Shep, who had previously been in a relationship with Taylor for two years until their breakup in July 2022, was visibly shocked by everything Olivia told him. "That's unbelievable. Discussing it with others implies there was more than just a platonic friendship," Shep responded. "I'm at a loss for words. Maybe she just needed someone to lean on? But for him to be that person, knowing the situation between you and me, is completely unacceptable."
In another part of the episode, Olivia discussed Taylor's revelation and her uneasiness with everything to her friend Leva Bonaparte.
Olivia recounted a conversation between Taylor and her ex-boyfriend Austen, sharing with Leva, who was on the phone, that Taylor had mentioned considering dating Austen after their time in New York. Olivia emphasized that this discussion occurred during a period when she and Austen were actively trying to work on their relationship.

Olivia mentioned in a confessional that while Taylor claimed they had a conversation, she was actually in California for three days. Throughout her absence, Austen continued to contact Olivia and persuade her to give him another opportunity. Olivia also stated that Taylor played a significant role in her decision to forgive Austen. However, just a week later, Austen unexpectedly had a change of heart. On the other hand, Taylor asserted during a phone conversation with Austen that she had every right to contemplate advancing their friendship.
"When Austen and I had that conversation, it had already been two months since Shep and I ended our relationship. I'm not sure if Austen and Olivia were ever a couple," Taylor shared during her confessional. "It was all so confusing. Their status was always uncertain. And at that particular moment, they were not even speaking."
When Shep confronted Taylor about her connection with Austen, she insisted, "I've never come close to hooking up with Austen!"
Austen, however, remained secretive about what truly occurred between them after their overnight stay. When Shep inquired if they had hooked up, Austen coyly responded, "What do you mean by hooked up?" The episode concluded with a "to be continued" hint.
