Highlights
Honkai: Star Rail's previous banner with Kafka generated over $16 million in revenue, making it a highly successful update for the game.
Kafka, a character with a five-star rating, possesses great versatility in battles by capitalizing on the abilities of other characters. This makes her a highly adaptable choice for players. In the upcoming 1.4 update, players can expect the return of Seele, another beloved character who currently holds the game's sales record.
A Honkai: Star Rail chart has revealed the total revenue generated during the previous banner, showcasing the five-star character Kafka. With the banner's 21-day duration now complete, it's time to introduce a fresh set of limited characters.
Kafka was part of the second phase of the Honkai: Star Rail version 1.2 banner. The first half of the update featured the five-star Wind user Blade. Additionally, Kafka's banner included a lineup of four-star characters: the Wind user Sampo, the Lightning character Serval, and Luka, a four-star character known for inflicting Physical damage.
An intriguing chart on the well-known website HonkaiLab unveils the overall revenue accumulated by Kafka's banner. According to the chart, Nessun Norma, Kafka's banner, managed to generate a staggering $16 million in sales. It's worth mentioning that the chart's data solely represents iOS devices within the game's Chinese community, implying that the actual sales figures are even higher. This five-star character harnesses the power of the Nihility Path, which centers around debuffing enemies. However, in comparison to other Nihility characters, Kafka boasts remarkable damage potential, particularly due to her Ultimate, Twilight Trill. This ability allows her to unleash Lightning damage upon all enemies, simultaneously applying the Shocked effect. Furthermore, enemies afflicted by this effect will also suffer Lightning Damage over Time (DoT), scaling with Kafka's ATK at the beginning of each turn.
Kafka is capable of manually activating various DoT effects including Bleeding, Shock, and Wind Shear. However, she may not be as effective in applying these effects on her own, but excels when teamed up with characters like Sampo or Luka. When constructing a Kafka build, players should prioritize the Speed stat, as it increases the frequency of DoT triggers.
Her reliance on other characters for viability makes her one of the most adaptable playable units in Honkai: Star Rail. Unfortunately, players who wish to acquire Kafka will have to wait for a few months until HoYoyverse decides to reintroduce her.
Recent leaks from Star Rail have unveiled that update 1.4 will introduce the highly anticipated return of Seele, one of the game's beloved characters. The chart clearly displays Seele's remarkable sales figures, unsurprisingly due to her status as the initial limited five-star character featured on a banner.
Honkai: Star Rail is currently accessible for both PC and mobile devices, with upcoming versions for PS4 and PS5 under development.
