A leaked update for Honkai: Star Rail has revealed that the game will soon be adding one of its most highly-requested features. The turn-based action game, developed by HoYoverse, has already set records even before its release in late April. Fans have been eagerly anticipating new characters and features to be added to the game.
Honkai: Star Rail is a gacha game similar to Genshin Impact and Honkai: Impact 3rd. Players can obtain various characters, including exclusive banner characters such as Jing Yuan and Seele, to build powerful teams. However, the game is still in its early stages and lacks some features that HoYoverse fans, especially frequent Genshin Impact players, have grown accustomed to. One such feature is an in-game chat system, which many Star Rail fans have been requesting.
It appears that Honkai: Star Rail enthusiasts could soon have their wish granted in an upcoming update. According to a post on the "Leaks by Blednaya" Telegram group, a chat feature will be introduced in-game in Star Rail's 1.1 update. Screenshots of the chat function have also emerged on social media, revealing a window with text bubbles exchanged between two friends.
Upon discovering the leaked in-game chat, numerous Honkai: Star Rail players expressed their excitement for the feature, with some anticipating the inclusion of stickers, akin to Genshin Impact. Conversely, others were not fond of the chat's user interface, suggesting that it should resemble the text conversations between characters in the game.
Honkai: Star Rail update 1.1 is set to release on June 7th, and while some details have already been leaked, gamers should still take them with a grain of salt until HoYoverse confirms the news. Among the leaked information are details about the new chat function and a video showcasing Yukong's gameplay, including her idle and combat animations. Additionally, a leak revealed ten characters that are expected to be released in future patches. However, it's important to note that certain characters and features may be delayed and come out later than originally reported.
Recently, Honkai: Star Rail launched a new banner event featuring Jing Yuan, a Lightning character from Xianzhou who follows the Path of Erudition. Players who haven't acquired Jing Yuan yet may be researching which Relics and Light Cones work best with the character in order to build a powerful team with him as the main damage dealer.
Honkai: Star Rail is now available on Android, iOS, and PC. A PlayStation version is in development.
