Four years later, Green landed the role of David Silver in Beverly Hills, 90210, a role that would become his most successful and iconic. This hit show, also featuring Jason Priestley, Shannen Doherty, Luke Perry, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, and Tori Spelling, enjoyed a successful run of 10 seasons.

While filming Beverly Hills, 90210, Green dated his costar Tiffani Thiessen. The pair split three years later.

After parting ways with Thiessen, Green entered into a relationship with Vanessa Marcil, who was also a cast member on Beverly Hills, 90210. The couple got engaged in 2001 and had a son named Kassius in the next year. Unfortunately, their engagement was called off and they ultimately ended their relationship in 2003.

Following his split with Marcil, Green embarked on a relationship with Fox. They became engaged in 2006 but eventually broke off their engagement three years later. However, in June 2010, Green and Fox rekindled their romance and exchanged vows later that month. They went on to have three sons together. Unfortunately, in May 2020, Green shared the news that he and Fox had decided to separate after nearly a decade of marriage.

Twenty years later after the conclusion of Beverly Hills, 90210, Green made a comeback in a revived version of the show called BH90210. Almost all the original cast members agreed to portray fictionalized versions of themselves, except for Perry who tragically passed away earlier that year. Unfortunately, the series was discontinued after just one season.

Green began dating Burgess. He joined the competition series one year after began his romance with Burgess and was paired with her for season 30. They welcomed Zane in 2022.

On his 50th birthday in July 2023, Green marked a significant milestone. Burgess organized a surprise party to honor her partner on this special occasion. Alongside photographs capturing the gathering, Green expressed his gratitude to everyone who wished him well and those who attended the celebration. He emphasized how fortunate he feels to begin his 50's with the life he currently enjoys. Additionally, Green playfully revealed that both the record player and the stack of records were actually edible cakes.
