Highlights

In Honkai: Star Rail, five-star characters are the main focus and have dedicated limited banners, while four-star characters are easier to obtain.

A Reddit user's chart illustrates the distribution of four-star characters across limited banners, aiding players in anticipating the reappearance of their desired characters. The forthcoming update in Honkai: Star Rail will introduce Topaz and Jingliu, new five-star characters, alongside Guinaifen, a four-star character endowed with debuff abilities.

The Honkai: Star Rail chart illustrates the distribution of four-star characters in the game since its launch in April. Similar to other gacha-based titles, characters in Honkai: Star Rail can be categorized into two rarities: five-star and four-star units.

The focus of each update in Honkai: Star Rail revolves around the five-star characters, with each having their own limited banner. These characters operate on a 90-wish pity system, ensuring that players will receive a five-star drop within 90 wishes. On the other hand, acquiring four-star characters is much simpler as the pity is limited to 10 pulls.

In each limited banner of Honkai: Star Rail, there is always one five-star character and three four-star characters. Interestingly, a Reddit user named Minimum-Story has created a chart that shows how the game distributes its four-star characters among these banners. This chart can be helpful for players in determining when their desired four-star character may become available again. For instance, the Wind user Dan Heng has already appeared in multiple banners, indicating a high probability that he will be included in future updates. One possible reason why Dan Heng didn't appear in version 1.3 could be because the first banner cycle showcased Imbibitor Lunae, who is considered an upgraded version of this four-star character.

During Honkai: Star Rail's recent livestream event, it was confirmed that two new five-star characters, Topaz and Jingliu, will be introduced in the forthcoming update. Moreover, the game also announced the release of a new four-star character named Guinaifen in the second banner cycle. Guinaifen is expected to be a Fire character who follows the path of Nihility, enabling her to debuff her enemies with her unique kit.

These debuffs can have various effects, ranging from weakening their resistance to fully immobilizing them. In addition, the upcoming banner cycle will introduce the highly popular Seele, who still holds the revenue record for Honkai: Star Rail. As a result, the second part of update 1.4 will showcase the game's first double banner, featuring both the Quantum user Seele and the Fire character.

Both of these characters specialize in dealing single-target damage, following the path of The Hunt. According to the chart displaying skipped banners, fans speculate that the first banner of update 1.5 may include the Wind character Dan Heng, the Physical user Natasha, and the Lightning DPS Arlan.

Honkai: Star Rail is available now for PC and mobile devices, with a PS5 version releasing on October 11th.
