Henry Thurlow, the first American to direct a One Piece episode, previously animated a scene in episode #1033 where Big Mom unleashed her devastating Maser Cannon combination attack. However, in episode #1066, a new and even more powerful combination of the three special homies was introduced. This resulted in Big Mom's most formidable attack yet, known as Mother's Visit Cannon: 3,000 Leagues of Misery. The attack summoned a colossal ghostly figure named Misery, resembling a woman made entirely of lightning and flames. Fuelled by rage, Misery effortlessly destroyed buildings, obliterated countless pirates spectating the battle, and inflicted significant damage on Captain Kid.
This assault occurs as a consequence of Big Mom finding herself in a dire situation for the very first time during her clash against Kid and Law.
