11 The New Republic's Iconic X-Wings
: Ahsoka Episode 4 - Packed with Action, Memorable Character Moments, and a Jaw-Dropping TwistAhsoka episode 4 witnesses Hera Syndulla's rebellion against orders as she takes off in the Ghost. She is not alone in this adventure; a fleet of X-wings, led by Carson Teva portrayed by Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, accompany her. Carson Teva was last seen in The Mandalorian season 3, where he unsuccessfully tried to alert the Empire about the resurgence of their threat. Although this Star Wars Easter egg is thrilling, it does raise some questions; since Ahsoka is supposed to occur at the same time as The Mandalorian season 3, Carson Teva should have mentioned the massive hyperspace ring he witnessed taking off. However, it is best to simply appreciate the cameo and avoid overanalyzing the situation.
H1:
10 Hera Is Phoenix Leader
In Star Wars Rebels, Phoenix Squadron accompanied the Ghost's crew. While leaving Home One, Carson Teva discloses that Phoenix Leader is Hera Syndulla's callsign during this specific timeframe of the Star Wars storyline. The acknowledgment of heritage and history is a delightful touch, as it carries significant symbolism. In our reality, the phoenix serves as a representation of both death and rebirth, which aligns with one of the main themes explored in Ahsoka.
9 The Void Between The Galaxies
8 Marrok's True Nature Revealed
A single miscalculation in Morgan's calculations could result in the stranding of the Eye of Sion in the vast emptiness of the void. The concept of this empty space between galaxies was initially introduced in Legends, and traversing through it is undeniably perilous. Morgan's chosen route to reach Peridea is a risky undertaking.
After much speculation, Marrok's true identity is finally unveiled as Ahsoka eliminates him, accompanied by a vivid burst of green ichor. This suggests that he is a Nightbrother hailing from Dathomir, whose body has possibly been resurrected by Morgan Elsbeth, a Nightsister from the same planet. Although this revelation may disappoint some viewers whose theories have been proven wrong, it logically aligns with the overall narrative.
7 Baylan Uses Force Empathy To Manipulate Sabine
Baylan is clearly utilizing the Force to manipulate Sabine. This is not a mere Jedi mind trick; Sabine possesses too strong a will to be easily swayed by that. Instead, Baylan taps into the power of empathy, skillfully sensing her emotions and carefully selecting his words. It is truly captivating to witness such a nuanced employment of the Force, one that preys upon Sabine's feelings of grief, loss, and trauma.
6 Sabine's Family Died During The Fall Of Mandalore
In episode 4 of Ahsoka, it is revealed that Sabine's family tragically perished during the Purge of Mandalore. The Star Wars franchise has deliberately sidestepped sharing this particular storyline, resulting in heightened intrigue as subtle clues continue to emerge. Baylan strongly implies that Sabine was already undergoing training with Ahsoka at the time of Mandalore's fall. Interestingly, his words hint at a palpable resentment within Sabine - that she had warned Ahsoka, but her master chose not to intervene.
5 Shin Uses Force Choke On Sabine
When Shin directs her fury towards Sabine, she resorts to employing a well-known Force ability - Darth Vader's iconic Force choke - with the intent to end Sabine's life. Remarkably, it is a testament to Baylan's own darkness that he forbids Shin from doing so, not due to any apprehension over the dark side, but solely because he has given his word.
4 The Hyperspace Jump Is A Nod To Star Wars: The Last Jedi
The Eye of Sion swiftly enters hyperspace, rapidly accelerating with incredible velocity. The powerful surge of energy jolts the Ghost and the X-wings, evoking a reminiscent sensation of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. However, Hera and two of the pilots manage to survive the impact due to a substantial gap within the ring. This occurrence subtly foreshadows the potential weaponization of hyperspace - an idea that would later be substantiated through the Holdo Maneuver.3 Ahsoka Is In The World Between Worlds
2 Anakin Skywalker's Force Ghost Returns In Ahsoka
Ahsoka finds herself rousing in the enigmatic realm known as the World Between Worlds, as unveiled in Star Wars Rebels, a realm that exists beyond the constraints of time and space. While previously perceived as Star Wars' semblance of time travel, recent literary works have alluded to its deeper complexity, labeling it as a "netherworld of the Force." This designation commonly pertains to the different realms within the Force where departed souls reside, adding an intriguing layer to the situation—implying that Ahsoka may have met her demise in this realm of the Force. In support of the theory that the World Between Worlds is a realm of the Force, Ahsoka encounters what appears to be the Force spirit of Anakin Skywalker. This time, Anakin is portrayed by a younger version of Hayden Christensen. Interestingly, he is attired in the clothes that Ahsoka recalls him wearing, rather than the Jedi robes he wore when he appeared in Return of the Jedi. Anakin affectionately refers to Ahsoka as "Snips," a nickname he gave her during their time together in the Clone Wars.
1 Ahsoka Episode 4 Ends With The Darth Vader Theme
Ahsoka is shocked to see her former master, especially because she had just turned down the chance to discuss him. However, in episode 4, Ahsoka reaches a captivating climax as the screen fades out and the familiar Darth Vader theme plays. While this may be intended for dramatic effect, it is rather peculiar considering Anakin Skywalker's redemption, which should have severed his association with that theme entirely. This final Ahsoka Easter egg could be a subtle indication that something is amiss in this enigmatic vision.
