Qingque is a unique DPS character in Honkai: Star Rail, relying heavily on luck to unleash enhanced basic attacks that deal substantial damage. Her gameplay style is unlike any other character, making her stand out among the rest. With the introduction of Silver Wolf in version 1.1, Qingque's appeal to players seeking to overcome challenging content has only increased. Silver Wolf's ability to apply weaknesses amplifies Qingque's effectiveness across a wider range of situations, as both characters have the Quantum element, increasing the chance of this weakness being applied.
While Qingque's gameplay does involve some elements of chance, it's important for players to not rely solely on luck if they want to fully unleash her potential in Honkai: Star Rail. To truly maximize her DPS output, it's crucial to equip Qingque with the most optimal relic sets and light cones. Luckily, there are a variety of options available across different rarities, including some viable free-to-play choices.
5 Geniuses' Repose
Base ATK (LVL 80):
476
Base DEF (LVL 80):
396
Base HP (LVL 80):
846
Effect
: Increases the wearer’s ATK by
16%/20%/24%/28%/32
%. When the wearer defeats an enemy, the wearer’s CRIT DMG increases by
24%/30%/36%/42%/48%
Geniuses' Repose is a highly sought-after 4-star light cone that can be easily equipped by most Erudition characters. It provides a notable boost to ATK and the opportunity for increased Crit DMG. It's important to note that this effect is only triggered when the wearer, such as Qingque, defeats an enemy, and not when another team member lands the final blow. However, the buff remains active for the next 3 turns, giving players ample time to take advantage of it. Geniuses' Repose is particularly useful in battles with multiple waves or when weaker opponents are present with a boss enemy. This is especially true for bosses that can summon allies, like Cocolia, as it ensures a more consistent activation of the secondary effect.
4 The Seriousness of Breakfast
Base ATK (LVL 80):
476
Base DEF (LVL 80):
396
Base HP (LVL 80):
846
Effect
: Increases the wearer’s DMG by
12%/15%/18%/21%/24%
. For every defeated enemy, the wearer’s ATK increases by
4%/5%/6%/7%/8%
, stacking up to 4 time(s).
Players can easily obtain The Seriousness of Breakfast, a powerful option for boosting Qingque's damage in battle. Unlike other options that rely on gacha, this light cone can be acquired through the Forgotten Hall Light Cone Store with enough Lucent Afterglow or from weekly boss battles like Echoes of War. It's a great choice for F2P players and can be easily stacked for maximum effect. The buff it provides includes a high DMG increase and additional ATK, making it especially useful in fights with multiple enemies. Plus, its effects persist and stack, so defeating enemies quickly is key to reaching its full potential.
3 Today Is Another Peaceful Day
Base ATK (LVL 80):
529
Base DEF (LVL 80):
330
Base HP (LVL 80):
846
Effect
: After entering battle, increases the wearer’s DMG based on their Max Energy. DMG increases by
0.2%/0.25%/0.3%/0.35%/0.4%
Featuring Qingque prominently on its artwork, it's no surprise that Today Is Another Peaceful Day is an excellent choice for her, especially as the best 4-star light cone. This is because her Max Energy is one of the highest at 140, resulting in significant benefits from this option. It boosts her DMG by 28%, even without any superimposition, surpassing the maximum superimposed effect of The Seriousness of Breakfast. While it lacks any additional secondary effects, it does have slightly higher base ATK compared to other 4-star options, making it suitable for any type of content. However, one downside of Today Is Another Peaceful Day is that it is exclusive to Nameless Glory, which makes it unsuitable for F2P players. Even for those interested in obtaining it, it will take some time before it can be fully superimposed.
2 Night on the Milky Way
Base ATK (LVL 80):
582
Base DEF (LVL 80):
396
Base HP (LVL 80):
1164
Effect
: For every enemy on the field, increases the wearer’s ATK by
8%/10%/12%/14%/16%
, up to 5 times. When an enemy is inflicted with Weakness Break, the wearer’s DMG increases by
24%/30%/36%/42%/48%
for 1 turn.
Especially in combination with Silver Wolf, Qingque can effectively utilize Night on the Milky Way, Himeko's 5-star signature light cone. This is due to Silver Wolf's ability to apply Quantum weakness to opponents or reduce their toughness meter, regardless of the weakness type. This allows Qingque to more easily break through their toughness and consistently do so against any opponent without the need for additional characters from other elements. However, even without Silver Wolf, players can still benefit from this light cone by adjusting their team members to match the weakness type of each opponent in battle. The first effect alone can still provide significant benefits, especially when facing a large group of enemies. As a result, Night on the Milky Way is particularly useful for farming content, such as Calyxes, for additional resources.
1 Before Dawn
Base ATK (LVL 80):
582
Base DEF (LVL 80):
396
Base HP (LVL 80):
1164
Effect
: Increases the wearer’s CRIT DMG by
32%/40%/48%/56%/64%
. Increases the wearer’s Skill and Ultimate DMG by
20%/25%/30%/35%/40%
When a player activates their Skill or Ultimate, they receive Somnus Corpus, which can be used up when launching a follow-up attack. This results in a significant increase in the damage dealt, with increments of 48%, 60%, 72%, 84%, and 96%.
Qingque can significantly benefit from Before Dawn, despite her reliance on enhanced Basic attacks for most of her damage output. The unconditional increase in Crit DMG and Ultimate DMG can still improve her performance, although her Skill, which doesn't deal damage, may not fully utilize this buff. Furthermore, the third effect of Before Dawn can enhance the damage of Qingque's follow-up attacks, but only if players have access to her fourth eidolon. This is due to the additional ability that Qingque gains, allowing her to potentially launch a follow-up attack after using her normal attack.
Honkai: Star Rail is now available on Android, iOS, and PC. A PlayStation version is in development.
