The Easter Eggs of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
A Pokemon Scarlet & Violet player has discovered that the seemingly inconsequential questions asked during the endgame events have a nice little easter egg tied to them. Just like the previous games, there is a ton of postgame content in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, including an opportunity to take part in the challenging Academy Ace tournament.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is filled with several easter eggs, with one of the most notable ones being an area in the Terrarium's coastal biome which is reminiscent of the iconic Nature Preserve location in Black & White 2. While throwbacks to previous Pokemon games were pleasant yet expected, what took fans by surprise was Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's Lion King reference. In the Savannah Biome, there is not only a meticulously crafted replica of the Pride Rock but a male Pyroar can also be found roaring on top of it, evoking the iconic image of Simba from the classic movie. Fans have now discovered yet another easter egg in the game, adding to the game's list of surprises.

The Impact of Player Choices
After players complete the main game, Geeta, the chairwoman of the Pokemon League, asks the player to battle all Pokemon Scarlet & Violet gym leaders once again to evaluate their strength. Upon completing that, Geeta will ask the players a series of questions, the most notable of them being who their favorite gym leader was. While till now it was considered filler content by many in the community, Redditor thadzdingo has discovered that the player's choice of their favorite gym leader has an impact later on in the Indigo Disk DLC's postgame.
Depending on the choice players make, they will get an extra dialogue option with their favorite gym leader. To trigger this, players will first need to beat the DLC's main campaign, which involves beating the Indigo Disk BB League Elite Four and Kieran. After that, players will get the option to invite special coaches to the Blueberry Academy through the League Club. These special coaches include all the gym leaders, Elite Four members, and a few others. Upon inviting their favorite gym leader, they will be able to interact with them and the coach will express their opinion on being the chosen one.
What's interesting to note is the diverse reactions the gym leaders have, with Larry, to no surprise, having one of the most interesting dialogues. He expresses his astonishment at being chosen as the favorite, asking the players to reconsider their preferences. Others are much more enthusiastic about it, with the likes of Ryme and Iono being two of the most expressive ones. This new revelation has also sparked a debate in the community as to who the correct choice should be, with Larry enjoying a massive fan following for his humble attitude. While this doesn't add much replayability value to Pokemon Scarlet & Violet as such, it is still quite a nice addition to have as players witness their favorite gym leaders reacting to their preferences.
The Community's Reaction and Debate
The discovery of the impact of player choices on the postgame interactions with gym leaders has sparked a lively debate in the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet community. What was once considered filler content by many players has now become a topic of discussion and contemplation.
Players are deliberating over their favorite gym leaders and their reactions to being chosen as the favorite. Larry, with his humble astonishment, has garnered a significant following, while others like Ryme and Iono are celebrated for their enthusiastic responses. This debate has brought a new level of engagement to the game's community, with players sharing their experiences and opinions on the matter.
The community's reaction to this revelation showcases the depth of engagement and attachment players have with the characters in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. It's evident that the game's developers have succeeded in creating meaningful connections between players and the virtual world, adding a layer of emotional investment to the gaming experience.
