In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's The Teal Mask DLC, players will explore the new region of Kitakami, situated near Paldea. This expansion introduces a multitude of Pokemon that were not included in the Paldean Pokedex, including some unique and rare species not found in any Scarlet/Violet Pokedex as of yet.
To maximize their Pokemon collection in The Teal Mask DLC, players are encouraged to seek out the assistance of Mr. Jacq, the biology professor at Uva/Naranja Academy. He can be found near a tree on the eastern side of the bridge leading to Mossui Town, on the way to Reveler's Road. If Mr. Jacq is not present, players should progress further in the main story and then return to find him.
Where to Find Jacq in The Teal Mask
The professor's location is indicated on the map above and in the accompanying video guide. After engaging in a conversation with him, players will receive a mysterious egg. If there is no space in their party to accommodate an additional Pokemon, it is important to retrieve the egg from the storage box and add it to the team. Pokemon eggs can only hatch if players keep them in their party and embark on a lengthy journey. Unfortunately, your browser does not support the video tag.
What's Inside of Jacq's Egg?
:It is important to mention that the Pokémon egg has the ability to hatch while players are exploring the region using either Miraidon or Koraidon as means of transportation. By moving around in this manner, the egg is expected to hatch within a matter of minutes.
Inside Professor Jacq's egg, you'll find one of the three starter Pokemon from the Sinnoh region: Chimchar, Turtwig, or Piplup. These Pokemon won't appear in the wild, and the egg is your only chance to get them in The Teal Mask. However, you can always trade with friends or online players if you want to obtain them. Turtwig will evolve into Grotle at level 18 and Torterra at level 32.
Piplup evolves into Prinplup at level 16 and then Empoleon at level 36.
Chimchar evolves into Monferno at level 14 and then Infernape at level 36.
