The ship quickly jumps to hyperspace, causing Ahsoka's Jedi T-6 Starfighter to shake once again due to the hyperspace fluctuations. Unfortunately, the heroes' mission has failed, resulting in the Star Wars galaxy facing even greater danger. This is because Grand Admiral Thrawn can now assume control of the Imperial Remnant, without any distractions from the Sith. Thrawn, known for his ruthlessness and efficiency, will undoubtedly suppress any potential rivals within the Empire. Additionally, he will closely collaborate with the Imperial Shadow Council to undermine the New Republic.

Thankfully, there is hope for the Star Wars galaxy. Sabine has successfully tapped into her Force abilities and helped Ezra Bridger board the Chimaera. Disguised as a stormtrooper, Ezra manages to make it back home, escaping and returning to the New Republic. While Ahsoka prefers to work independently, Ezra, being a Jedi, is likely to cooperate with the New Republic. The final scenes intentionally mirror Baylan's arrival on a New Republic prison ship in Ahsoka episode 1, subtly confirming that Ezra is indeed the Jedi the galaxy has been searching for. The intriguing question remains: is Peridea merely linked to the Mortis gods, or is it the actual planet Mortis itself? Mortis, a remarkably powerful Force nexus, can occasionally be reached from the primary Star Wars galaxy, through mystical and unexplained means.

Baylan is depicted standing near statues of the Mortis gods: the Father, the Son, and the Daughter. These three divine beings embodied distinct aspects of the Force. The Daughter represented the light side, the Son represented the dark side, while the Father maintained the equilibrium of the Force. Their demise during the Clone Wars symbolized the loss of balance within the Force, and there were strong implications that Anakin Skywalker's destiny was intimately connected to Mortis.

Anakin Skywalker's Force Ghost Watches Events Unfold On Peridea

Hayden Christensen's portrayal of Anakin Skywalker in Ahsoka has a significant impact, as he makes a return in the finale. However, in this episode, he remains a silent observer, only sensed by Sabine and unseen by Ahsoka. The fact that Force ghosts are not bound by time implies that Anakin purposely chose not to interfere because he understood that Ahsoka needed to be on Peridea.
