The One Piece anime will begin adapting the Egghead arc on January 7, 2023, much to the excitement of fans. The promotional video that officially announced the news has only added to the anticipation. Prior to the release of the video, it was already known that the series would transition to the Egghead arc after finishing the Wano arc, without any filler in between.
The Egghead arc, the first arc of the Final Saga and the thirty-second in the series, takes the Straw Hats to the advanced Egghead Island. As they explore the island, they uncover clues about the past rather than the future.
Despite the intense action in Wano, the arc maintains a good pace and keeps fans captivated with its ongoing surprises. As the arc prepares to make its debut in the One Piece anime, it is sure to continue to enthrall fans for weeks to come.

One Piece anime's Egghead arc is going to be better than Wano arc except for one aspect
The Wano arc witnessed the Straw Hat Pirates and their allies clashing with two Emperors of the Sea, Big Mom and Kaido, resulting in both their demises. This event marked another significant shift in the One Piece world brought about by the Worst Generation, the first being Blackbeard’s scheme that led to the demises of Ace and the former Emperor of the Sea, Whitebeard, at Marine Ford. Luffy emerged as the new Emperor of the Sea after his battle with Kaido.
The forthcoming Egghead arc will shine the spotlight on Jewelry Bonney, another significant pirate from the worst generation who has had only limited appearances in the series thus far. Additionally, this arc will mark the first appearance of Dr. Vegapunk, a character whose impact on the world has been alluded to on numerous occasions.

The Egghead arc of the One Piece anime is anticipated to surpass the Wano arc as the series approaches its Final Saga. With the impending conclusion of the series in a few years, fans can expect significant reveals such as the Void Century, character backstories, the World Government's threat, unexpected plot twists, and betrayals.
Despite the high acclaim for the Egghead arc in the One Piece manga, the anime adaptation may struggle to surpass the Wano arc in terms of epic fight sequences. Over the span of four years, the Wano arc built up to the epic clash between the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance and Kaido's formidable Animal Kingdom Pirates.
The Straw Hats didn't achieve victory in just one battle, but through a series of escalating confrontations, each with high stakes and palpable tension.

The animation team demonstrated their ability to create visually stunning adaptations, using vibrant colors to enhance the intensity of the fight scenes. Each battle became increasingly memorable. However, the Egghead arc, while enjoyable, may not reach the same level of intensity and visual appeal in its fight sequences. Without giving away too much, the Egghead arc in One Piece anime will feature powerful characters, but the fights will not be as extended or have the same high stakes as those in Wano. For example, Luffy faced multiple near-death experiences in his battle against Kaido, only achieving victory after awakening his Devil Fruit powers.
Meanwhile, Luffy's Gear 5 form has undeniably altered the dynamics of fights in One Piece. The current battles seem to have lost their gravity, and it is uncertain if major battles in the future will suffer the same fate.

As a One Piece fan, I am incredibly excited about the upcoming Egghead arc in the anime. The Wano arc was a thrilling and epic adventure, and I can't wait to see what the Egghead arc has in store for us. I'm especially looking forward to seeing more of Jewelry Bonney and Dr. Vegapunk, two characters who have been teased for a long time but have not had much screen time. I'm also curious to see how the Straw Hats will fare against the new challenges they will face in the Egghead arc.
While I'm sure the Egghead arc will be amazing, I'm not sure if it will surpass the Wano arc in terms of epic fight sequences. The Wano arc had some of the best fights in the entire series, and it will be hard to top those. However, I'm confident that the Egghead arc will still be a great arc, and I can't wait to see what it has in store for us.
