The Golden Bachelor is wrapping up, but Bachelor in Paradise is still going strong.
Jesse Palmer shared exclusively with We that there are exciting developments still to come on the beach. With time running out, anything can happen in a short period. The beach has already seen familiar faces, and that trend will continue, with more surprises in store. The arrival of new faces and unexpected pairings could still lead to love. So, there's still plenty of time for new connections to be made.
ABC has teased that a couple will be exchanging vows on the beaches of Mexico in the season 9 promo of BiP. Some fans are skeptical, believing that the teaser is nothing more than a tease.
Jesse expressed his excitement for the upcoming wedding, stating, "The wedding, I’m so excited for people to see. It’s a real full circle moment. Obviously, I can’t say who it is, but that is one of my fondest memories from hosting these last couple of years on all four shows now. It was really, really special, really magical. I’m excited for people to see it."
During the most recent BiP episode, the nuptials could feature alums returning to tie the knot or a current couple exchanging vows on the beach,
However, things took an awkward turn when Katie Thurston showed up to host a roast.
Jesse Palmer spoke to Us about whether the roast was fun or awkward, expressing that it was a combination of both. He admitted to being surprised by the direction the roast took at times, but also stated that as someone from locker room culture, he's used to nothing being off limits. Despite enjoying a good roast, he found some moments to be cringeworthy due to the personal nature of the jokes.
Jesse was not even spared from the jokes, as Peter Izzo called the host a "thumb."
"I found it really hilarious and... it was so spontaneous and perfectly timed by Pete," he remarked. "I give him full credit for that."
Kat Izzo, who has no relation to Pete, faced backlash due to her tumultuous relationship with Brayden Bowers and being accused of taking John Henry-Spurlock away from Olivia Lewis.
Speaking about the criticism Kat received, Jesse shared, “I really like Kat and I’ve gotten to know her from Zach’s season through Paradise, both on and off camera. And she really is a lovely person with a huge heart. It’s funny, I think you don’t always see the true person throughout the course of a season. So everybody really seems to be on board with Brayden all of a sudden after what happened on Charity’s season. Same with Shanae [Ankney] last year on Paradise, too. They saw a side of her on Clayton’s season and they saw a completely different side of her — and a realer, more true side — once they get to Paradise.”
Jesse noted that the audience shouldn’t give up on Kat just yet.

"It's been a rollercoaster experience for her, but she deserves the chance to find love and meet someone," he expressed. "She is worthy of that opportunity and I hope she finds it. It has been quite a journey so far, but there is still time and I am eager for people to see how Kat's beach story will unfold."
