Bachelor in Paradise alumni Raven Gates and Adam Gottschalk joyfully announced the arrival of their second child on Sunday, July 23. Gottschalk, 32, took to Instagram Story to share his experience of witnessing his first C-section, admitting that it was not as daunting as he had anticipated. He also shared a heartwarming photo of their newborn's precious footprints, revealing that both mom and baby are in excellent health.
The couple welcomed their second baby on Gates' 32nd birthday, but they have not yet disclosed the name or gender. Last January, The Bachelor star shared the news of her second pregnancy on social media, just one year after the birth of their son, Gates Zev.
"Expecting baby number two in July! Any advice for having two children under the age of two? Keep us in your thoughts, especially Adam," the star shared on Instagram, accompanied by numerous pictures of the couple and their one-year-old son. Though they met during the filming of season 4 of BiP, which aired in the summer of 2017, they opted not to get engaged during the finale.
"I was promised an enormous ring!" Gates playfully remarked once the season had concluded, making it clear that she felt no pressure from the producers at that moment.
After two years of being together, Gottschalk finally proposed in June 2019.
"I will hold you for eternity, forever and always," wrote the Arkansas native alongside a collection of eight Instagram photos, citing Shania Twain's song "Forever and Always." "We will remain together throughout our lives, wishing to wake up every morning to your delightful countenance... Always."
Yet, the road to exchanging vows was not without obstacles, with the couple having to delay their wedding multiple times due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
"I've had to reschedule the wedding three times already," the bride exclusively told We in August 2020. "If there's no end in sight by December of this year, Adam and I have decided to elope and get married at home. However, if there's hope for a resolution by then, we'll proceed with planning the wedding for the fourth time."
In April 2021, the couple officially got married in Dallas. Three months later, the fashion boutique owner and real estate agent joyfully announced that they were expecting a baby. Gates gave birth in January 2022.

Gottschalk shared the news on his Instagram Stories, expressing his joy over the arrival of his "little man." He also revealed that the birth required an emergency C-section, following an hour and a half of pushing. Fortunately, both mother and baby are in good health, with the little one joining the world at 3:33 a.m.
After the birth of their son, Gates openly acknowledged that she couldn't fathom a life without him.
"Many of you shared with me that the experience of seeing your child for the first time is indescribable," she expressed on Instagram, just three days postpartum. "And you were absolutely right! The most reassuring aspect of it all was gazing into Adam's emerald eyes, knowing that we were in this journey together. While there were numerous potential complications, my prayers were answered by God. I am grateful to announce that my precious baby is thriving, and we are now back home and united as a family!"
The Bachelor Nation alums expressed their intention to raise a larger family ahead of the birth of their second child.
"We're thinking two or maybe three," Gates exclusively revealed to Us in June 2021. "Although Adam has mentioned that we should assess how we handle two before deciding on more."
Gates made her first appearance on The Bachelor during season 21 in 2017, where she came in second place. Prior to meeting her current husband on season 4 of BiP, Gates briefly dated Robby Hayes after graduating from the University of Arkansas.
As for Gottschalk, he participated in Rachel Lindsay's season 13 of The Bachelorette, also aired in 2017. Lindsay, 37, ultimately accepted a proposal from Bryan Abasolo.
