Jade Roeper, a star from Bachelor in Paradise, has sadly revealed that she is currently going through the heartbreaking experience of a miscarriage. She and her husband, Tanner Tolbert, were eagerly anticipating the arrival of their fourth child, a precious baby boy named Beau.

Struggling to find the right words, Roper, 36, revealed on Instagram on August 13 that she has been grappling with the pain of a miscarriage. The experience shattered her hopes of welcoming a new addition to their family, leaving her heartbroken and consumed by the complex grief of the loss. Despite the anguish, she expressed gratitude for the brief time she had with the soul of her unborn child, acknowledging that it has forever changed her.

Alongside the heartfelt post, Roper shared pictures of her baby bump and disclosed that she is still carrying the fetus. Termed a missed miscarriage, she clarified that although the baby's heart has ceased beating and growth has halted, her body has yet to expel the pregnancy naturally. Trusting in the timing and her body's ability, she hopes to navigate this difficult journey under the care of her healthcare provider.

She continued, "I have felt immense pride in carrying him and I cherish every moment I have left with a part of him. However, it has also been incredibly challenging and devastating. As I hold my belly, our beloved baby Beau rests peacefully in my womb, his soul soaring. We love you with all our hearts, baby Beau."

The couple first met on the second season of BiP, which premiered in August 2015. They instantly hit it off and got engaged during the season finale. Just four months later, Tolbert and his partner exchanged vows in a beautiful ceremony held in Dana Point, California. The wedding guest list included many familiar faces from the ABC franchise, such as Chris Harrison, Ben Higgins, Ali Fedotowsky, Andrew Firestone, Andi Dorfman, Carly Waddell, and Nick Viall.

In August 2017, the couple joyfully introduced their first child into the world, a baby girl named Emerson, affectionately known as Emmy. "We are thrilled to announce that everyone is doing well and in good health," said the couple's representative at the time.

Less than two years later, in January 2019, the founder of Naturally Jade cosmetics happily revealed that she was expecting another addition to their family. Roper gave birth to a baby boy in July, although the delivery did not go according to plan.

Last night, I had an accidental home birth in our master closet," Roper shared alongside an Instagram photo of herself lovingly cradling her newborn son, Brooks. "The shock of the unexpected situation is still sinking in, as it was far from my initial plan. Nevertheless, I am immensely grateful for the individuals who played a vital role in safely bringing our son into this world."

Accommodating their new life as a family of four, the couple from Colorado, Roper and Tolbert, announced in May 2020 that they were expecting their third child. Their second son, Reed, was born in November of the same year.

Introducing Reed Harrison Tolbert! Weighing 8lbs 4 oz and measuring 20.5 inches, Roper shared an Instagram photo of her baby boy peacefully sleeping on a personalized blanket. She expressed joy in welcoming him to their family, revealing that he was born at home on November 14, 2020 at 5:33am. Reed came into the world with a full head of dark hair and mesmerizing blue eyes.

While building their family, they faced several other instances of pregnancy loss. In a heartfelt YouTube video in February 2019, the Colorado native candidly opened up about her experience with miscarriage. "During our time on [Bachelor in Paradise], we actually became pregnant, but we only found out once I returned to Kansas City to visit him," shared the host of the "Mommies Tell All" podcast. "I had a feeling that something was different when I realized I was late."

After receiving a positive pregnancy test, the Bachelor alum made arrangements to move in with Tolbert, but unfortunately, they later lost the baby. "At that moment, I didn't fully process the loss and didn't allow myself to grieve," she admitted. "Everything was happening so quickly and overwhelmingly. Strangely, I felt a sense of relief. It wasn't until after I had Emerson that I truly understood the depth of my love for my child and the incredible miracle that she is. It was then that I began grieving for that lost baby."

In July 2020, Roper shared via Instagram Story that she had experienced a chemical pregnancy just before conceiving her second baby, Brooks.

Referring to both losses, she mentioned, "I rarely discuss them publicly, mainly because even though a considerable amount of time has elapsed, I still find myself tearing up. It always catches me by surprise how much more grief remains hidden beneath the surface."

Prior to Sunday's announcement about the miscarriage, they hadn't disclosed the news of Roper's pregnancy.
