Teen Mom Star Catelynn Lowell's Heartwrenching Visit with Carly: Daughter Nova Offers Unprecedented Support

Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra's yearly visit with their oldest daughter, Carly, is consistently filled with intense emotions. However, their most recent trip appears to be the most poignant yet.
In the episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter that aired on Wednesday, October 4th, the couple, who made the difficult decision to place Carly for adoption back in 2008, spent several days in June with their now 14-year-old daughter and her adoptive parents, Brandon and Teresa Davis.
Catelynn and Tyler were joined by their other three daughters and Catelynn's parents during their visit. However, they wanted the last visit to be more personal, so only Catelynn, Tyler, Catelynn's dad, and their 8-year-old daughter Nova were present to see Carly and her family. The meetup was not filmed by MTV cameras since Brandon and Teresa do not permit Carly to be on camera. Nonetheless, the emotions were just as intense after the visit.
Tyler and Catelynn comforted Nova by wiping away their tears while walking with her.
"It's alright. We have every right to cry. It's a sorrowful moment," Tyler consoled the 8-year-old, who observed that she was the sole person not shedding tears at that moment.
"And that's okay, too. Mom doesn't shed tears every time," Catelynn shared, her voice trembling, to her daughter.
This time, as the family settled into their car, the tears welled up even more. Catelynn and Tyler, overcome with emotion, wept quietly in the front seat while Nova, with a maturity beyond her age, offered solace to her parents.
“Mom, I wanted to express that Carly will forever hold a special place in your heart,” she conveyed to Catelynn, while expressing admiration for her parents. “I simply wanted to convey that my mom and dad laid the foundation for this beautiful family. And for that, I am deeply grateful.”
Nova and Catelynn Lowell, who rose to fame on MTV's Teen Mom, initially met during their time in middle school. At the young age of 17, Catelynn found herself pregnant, a situation that was eventually documented on the show 16 and Pregnant in 2009. Faced with challenging circumstances within their own homes and limited financial means, Catelynn and her partner Tyler ultimately made the difficult decision to place their baby up for adoption. In 2015, the couple exchanged vows, and since then, they have been blessed with the arrival of their daughters Nova, now 4 years old, as well as Vaeda and Rya Rose, aged 2.
The reality stars often contemplate how their lives would have turned out if they had not made the decision to place Carly for adoption when they were teenagers. In a heartfelt direct message to Carly, Catelynn expressed that they chose adoption out of love and considers Carly as the greatest blessing in her life.
"You are cherished. Had you not been, I would never have made the selfless choice I did for you. There were moments when I wanted to prioritize my own desires, but I reasoned that it would be unjust to subject you to the turmoil. Ultimately, love is at the heart of it all.
