Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham has received her sentencing after being accused of assaulting a Los Angeles security guard. Despite avoiding jail, the 32-year-old has been placed on 18 months probation and must fulfill 40 hours of community service, as per court records obtained by We.
"Law reform is crucial for California, and safety must be given the utmost priority!" expressed the former MTV personality in response to In Touch's Instagram post on October 18. Additionally, she shared the publication's article on her Instagram Stories, accompanied by an eye-rolling emoji.
In January 2022, after the reported altercation, Abraham was placed under citizen's arrest, and she was subsequently booked and released on the same day. Six months later, she faced charges for battery on an officer.
Abraham, on her part, alleged at the time that the security guard had "physically attacked and assaulted" her, she stated on her Instagram Story.
"Once again, the employees attacked a paying customer and detained me forcefully, causing harm," she further mentioned in a second Instagram Story. "This is the third incident, and it is crucial that we put an end to violence against women."
Abraham had previously made public accusations of assault before the alleged altercation. In April 2021, she filed a police report stating that she had been sexually assaulted by Dominic Foppol, who was then the mayor of California, one month earlier. Foppol, who denied all allegations, was also accused by eight other women and later resigned. Additionally, six years prior, Abraham claimed that she had been raped by porn star James Deen.
Abraham, who left Teen Mom in 2018, faced an ultimatum from producers: either continue her adult entertainment career or leave the network. Since then, she has been embroiled in numerous controversies. Alongside her porn career, she has faced criticism for her mistreatment of the Teen Mom crew and has often made headlines for her parenting choices. In 2019, Abraham faced criticism for sharing a Snapchat video of herself and Sophia, her 9-year-old daughter, dancing in their underwear. Despite backlash from social media users, Abraham defended her decision, stating that she and her daughter were simply enjoying themselves while trying on clothes at Nordstrom, thus deeming it as non-inappropriate content.
