Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans recently filed for separation from her husband David Eason. The court documents, acquired by The Sun, reveal that Evans, 32, submitted the papers in North Carolina in February. This marks her choice to temporarily part ways from Eason, 35, after being married for six years. The documents state that their date of separation was noted as February 16.

The reality star got married to Eason in September 2017. She recently filed separation documents with the intention of making the separation permanent. Evans mentioned that during her marriage to Eason, he displayed behavior that was concerning and sometimes disturbing towards her.

One incident that Evans highlighted was in 2019 when Eason shot and killed their family's French Bulldog.

Evans revealed in court that Eason's actions resulted in their daughter Ensley, who is now 7 years old, being taken into custody by the Department of Child Services until the situation was resolved. In July 2019, Jenelle regained custody of Ensley and her middle child, son Kaiser, who is 9 years old. (Ensley is shared with Eason, while Kaiser is shared with ex-boyfriend Nathan Griffith.)

Furthermore, Evans mentioned Eason's alleged assault on her eldest child, Jace, who is now 14 years old. The incident reportedly occurred in September 2023. She stated in the filing that Eason was later charged with misdemeanor child abuse and felony assault by strangulation after Jace reported the abuse. (Jace is shared with ex Andrew Lewis.)

Evans claimed that even though the DSS proceedings were dropped voluntarily, the defendant still has a pending criminal case with several no-contact rules. He pointed out that after Jace came back, the DSS submitted a notice for dismissal.

Janelle Evans has stated that David Eason is currently staying on her boat and has been spending his time drinking at a bar near the marina. She also mentioned that Eason has not given her the mailbox key, causing a delay in getting Jace's medication.

Evans continued to accuse her former spouse of wrongdoing, stating that Eason had issues with alcohol and had not held a steady job for many years. She also claimed that he had been irresponsible with their money, which she was the sole earner of, among other things that would be revealed during the trial.

She then criticized Eason for allegedly leaving their daughter Maryssa, who is 16 years old, with her when he moved out. Evans stated that he did not provide any support or help in housing both her and Eason's children after their separation. (Eason shares Maryssa with his ex, Whitney Rich.)

Evans claimed that during an unexpected visit to her house in February, Eason told her to kill herself and hurled other nasty insults. She recorded the altercation for her safety, according to reports.

She requested a permanent separation, citing Eason's excessive alcohol consumption, which she believes is negatively impacting the financial well-being of their children.
