Jenelle Evans slammed claims that son Jace’s most recent disappearance was due to husband David Eason’s alleged abuse.
On Monday, October 2, the Teen Mom 2 alum, 31, expressed that this situation is not about David, regardless of whether you choose to blame him or not. Accusing her mom, Barbara Evans, of lying to the police about Jace's reason for running away, she stated that her mom has been saying a lot of untrue things about her to everyone. Despite this, her mom wanted her to have custody. It makes one wonder about the things that are not being heard from her perspective.
Jace, 14, has gone missing three times in the past two months. On Thursday, September 28, he was reported missing by Jenelle after supposedly leaving their home through a window. Moreover, aside from Jace, Jenelle is also a mother to son Kaiser, 9, whom she shares with ex Nathan Griffith, and daughter Ensley, 6, with Eason.
Barbara informed authorities, according to a police incident report obtained by The Ashley's Reality Roundup, that her son Jace had alleged being assaulted by his stepfather and was currently in hiding. The report stated that Barbara confirmed Jace's absence from their residence and disclosed their earlier conversation, during which Jace had called from an unidentified phone number to inform her about the assault by David Eason. Barbara also revealed that Jace had fled and was evading detection. On Friday, Jace was ultimately located and subsequently hospitalized.
In additional tweets Jenelle shared on Monday, she claimed that Barbara, who previously had custody of Jace until March when Jenelle was granted custody, has made no effort to communicate or visit her children since July. Jenelle apparently tried to obtain a restraining order against Barbara in recent weeks, but her request was ultimately rejected.

"I've reached my breaking point with the constant deceit from my mother. It's important to note that my children are under my care," she expressed on her social media platform.
"To be completely honest, I can't comprehend why my own mother is behaving in such a manner. It seems she is resorting to involving the authorities and fabricating false accusations against us in order to tarnish our family's reputation. It's crucial to acknowledge that there are numerous individuals involved in this matter, all of whom are aware of the truth - just as God is," she penned.
Jenelle retaliated against Briana DeJesus, insisting that she deserved a public apology from her former costar. Briana, 29, had previously used X to advise Jenelle to leave Eason after learning about the news.
Despite refusing to answer Jenelle's calls, she accused Briana of being ignorant about the situation. Jenelle claimed that she was intentionally staying silent for a reason and hinted that her side of the story would shock everyone. Fed up with her mother's lies, Jenelle asserted that her children were under her custody. As a result, Briana deleted her tweet and offered an apology to Jenelle on the platform.
Jenelle has consistently denied any association between her husband and her son's disappearance. During the first incident in August, she issued a statement through her manager, August Keen, stating that it had no connection to her situation with Eason and emphasized that they do not argue or fight in front of their children. However, two weeks later, Jace went missing again while on their property, but was soon located at a nearby gas station.
Over the years, Jenelle and Eason have experienced various challenges in their relationship. In 2018, Jenelle called 911 and accused Eason of fracturing her collarbone, although she did not file a police report. Then, a year later, the couple temporarily lost custody of their children when Eason fatally shot their dog after it bit their youngest child on the cheek.
Jenelle and Eason reunited several months after their split, despite the incident. Jenelle shared that their conflicts mainly consisted of bickering and arguing. She believed that with the help of marriage counseling and prior experience in parenting counseling, they could overcome these issues. Jenelle expressed her relief that they were able to move past it and stated that things have improved significantly.
