Shocking Allegations: ‘Teen Mom 2′ Star Jenelle Evans' Stepdad Accused of Assaulting Son Jace, Prompting Runaway Drama

Jenelle Evans' son, Jace, bravely opens up about running away from home, revealing disturbing allegations of physical abuse by stepfather David Eason A heartbreaking account that sheds light on the troubled dynamics within the Teen Mom 2 alum's family

Jace, the son of Jenelle Evans, revealed that he ran away from home for the third time due to alleged abuse by his stepfather, David Eason. In a police incident report obtained by The Ashley's Reality Roundup on Monday, October 2, Barbara Evans, Jenelle's mother, informed the authorities that Jace had contacted her, revealing that he was "hiding" from his stepfather, who Jace accused of assaulting him.

Teen Mom 2 star, 31, informed the authorities on Thursday, September 28, that her oldest son had gone missing. This was reportedly his third attempt at running away from their home in North Carolina within two months. She expressed her suspicion that Barbara, her mother, was concealing Jace.

According to the police report, they contacted Barbara who stated that Jace was not present at her residence. She mentioned that Jace had called her earlier in the evening from an unidentified number, informing her about being assaulted by David Eason. Additionally, he informed her that he had run away and was hiding. We have reached out to Jenelle's manager for a comment.

Barbara, who had been the primary custodian of Jace until custody was granted to Jenelle in March, had to decline her grandson's request to be picked up due to unresolved legal and custody matters. On Friday, September 30, Jace was discovered and subsequently admitted to the hospital.

“I am currently seeking privacy for myself and my family. I would like to inform you all that Jace has been found and is safe,” expressed Jenelle in a heartfelt TikTok video she recently posted. “For now, I simply wish to distance myself from any unnecessary drama and focus on creating regular content. Therefore, if I choose not to address certain matters, I kindly request that you refrain from pressuring me on it. Thank you.”

Jenelle had previously denied any connection between her and her husband's fights and Jace's first disappearance. In addition to Jace, whom she shares with ex Andrew Lewis, Jenelle is also a mother to Kaiser, her 9-year-old son with ex Nathan Griffith, and Ensley, her 6-year-old daughter with Eason.

According to Jenelle's statement through her manager, August Keen, she explained that Jace ran away when they took his phone away as a consequence for getting in trouble at school. She emphasized that her eldest son's decision to run away had nothing to do with her situation with David, and that they do not argue or fight in front of their children.

Two weeks later, Jace went missing when Jenelle couldn't find him on her property. He was eventually located at a gas station just 10 minutes away.

As for Eason, his past includes a history of violence. In May 2019, a year after Jenelle called 911 and accused her husband of breaking her collarbone (no charges were filed), Eason fatally shot their dog Nugget after it bit Ensley on the cheek. As a result, they temporarily lost custody of their children. Following the incident, the couple, who got married in 2017, separated, and Jenelle announced her plans to file for divorce in October 2019.

Despite appearing good on the surface, things were actually bad for David. He put on a good facade during court proceedings and made an effort to clean up and show that he was capable of taking care of the kids. However, as soon as the court case ended, David reverted back to his old self.

However, several months later, the couple decided to reconcile.

"We often engaged in futile disputes and constant arguments, but I believed that we could overcome them by seeking professional help through marriage counseling and parenting counseling prior to our marriage counseling sessions," Jenelle revealed exclusively to Us in 2021. "I'm relieved that we managed to move past those challenges, and now things have significantly improved."

In March, Us revealed the significant development that Jenelle finally gained custody of Jace, after Barbara had been his primary caregiver for nearly 14 years.

In a statement, she expressed that she and her mother have jointly decided to restore full custody to her. Their primary goal is to rebuild their relationship as mother and daughter. Moreover, her mother agrees that it is time for Jace to be reunited with his siblings and live with both parents. She believes it is important for Jace to have a father figure to learn about masculinity and engage in conversations typically associated with males. Her mother has witnessed how David effectively parents her children and is confident in our ability to handle it. Ultimately, they all aspire to amicably coexist for the well-being of the children and continue the process of rebuilding their mother-daughter bond.

Recently, there have been reports that Jenelle sought a restraining order against her mother, but her request was denied.
