Lindsay Hubbard shared on the "Not Skinny But Not Fat" podcast that she believes Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula argued more than she and Carl Radke did during Summer House season 8. Lindsay, aged 37, stated that the fights between Kyle and Amanda were just as intense as any arguments she had with Carl.

The star of The Summer House, Lindsay, shared that the arguments between her and her then-fiancé Carl felt more intense because they had a lot at stake. She explained that the pressure of their relationship made the fights seem more significant.

Lindsay clarified that they didn't argue throughout the entire summer. She mentioned that their filming schedule for the show only took up about nine weeks during the summer months.

Lindsay remembered having arguments with Carl, 39, during the first two weeks of living together in the house. However, she mentioned that they were able to get along well for five weeks in between. Towards the end of their time together, they started fighting again during the last two weeks.

At the beginning of season 8, which started filming in June 2023, Kyle, 41, and Amanda, 32, were having difficulties in their relationship. They were disagreeing about when they should leave New York City and move to the suburbs.

Kyle expressed his frustration about not being on the same page with his wife during the premiere in February. He mentioned their disagreements on work-life balance, feeling like they are on different wavelengths.

As the season continued, Kyle faced criticism from his housemates for not prioritizing Amanda and her career. Paige DeSorbo called him out during a May episode, stating that he is unwilling to compromise in his marriage.

After filming ended, Amanda told us that she decided to take a break from working with Kyle at Loverboy in the fall of 2023 to focus on their relationship.

On the other hand, Lindsay and Carl had a different experience in season 8. At the start of filming, they were looking forward to their upcoming wedding.

As the season went on, Carl and Lindsay clashed over various issues, such as Carl not being able to choose a career and Lindsay being accused of not being understanding towards Carl. Despite their disagreements, they remained a couple when filming ended in August 2023.

However, only three days after the season wrapped up, Carl decided to end his relationship with Lindsay. In August 2023, just three months before their planned wedding, he called off their engagement.

During Tuesday's podcast, Lindsay remembered how different he was in those last two weeks. His whole attitude had shifted, laying the foundation for the eventual split. Lindsay believed that Carl's problem with her questioning about his future only surfaced after he had already mentally disengaged.

Lindsay recalled how Carl used to complain to her about his constant frustration with Loverboy. She mentioned that when Carl first left the company in early 2023, he was firm in his decision not to collaborate with Kyle again.

However, Carl had a change of heart in August 2023 when Kyle, the company's founder, presented him with an opportunity to return and work on their nonalcoholic beverage line. Despite this, Lindsay couldn't forget a conversation she had with Carl where he criticized Loverboy just a few weeks before expressing his excitement about reuniting with Kyle and working on the show together.

Lindsay claimed that at the alien party, he told her it was the worst four years of his life. She mentioned how emotionally and physically draining it was for him, to the point where he needed the last nine months to decompress from working at Loverboy for four years.

She then revealed that two weeks later, they had a conversation about Carl's future in the kitchen of their shared Hamptons house. Lindsay asked him questions to ensure that he was making the best choice for himself.

Lindsay thought that once her partner had figured out his career plans and they finished filming, things would settle down. She believed that the cameras coming to their house was just for another discussion about their careers.

Despite feeling blindsided when Carl ended their relationship, Lindsay emphasized that she is not one to give up easily. She has moved on and is now dating a new man since January.

Summer House’s season 8 two-part reunion begins on Bravo Thursday, June 6, at 9 p.m. ET.
