During a recent episode of the "Chanel in the City" podcast on iHeartRadio, Bria Fleming, a cast member of Summer House: Martha's Vineyard, openly discussed her emotional journey while filming the first season of the Bravo show. Fleming, 28, shared that viewers can expect a mix of drama, love outings, and events, along with the addition of a furry friend in this season. Emotions will run high and there will be an abundance of everything.
Fleming admitted to host and stand-up comedian Chanel Omari that one of her challenges on the unscripted reality show was experiencing a range of emotions.
"All the emotions you witness on the show are genuine. The tears, the laughter, it's all real," she revealed on the pop culture podcast. "It's difficult to navigate through the transition from being upset to finding forgiveness in a matter of moments because it's authentic. It's like, right now, I'm angry and holding a grudge against this person. But how am I supposed to find happiness? It's a challenging process."
The reality star expressed her happiness in being a part of a real and authentic reality show, despite acknowledging that it may be embarrassing for some people. Fleming stated that she despises fake reality and dislikes being told what to do. She values the opportunity to showcase her true self without any restrictions or interference.

A significant plot point in season 1 delved into the transformation of Jasmine Ellis Cooper, a close friend and fellow performer of Fleming, following her marriage to Silas Cooper. Some cast members have voiced their concerns about Silas being labeled as "controlling" after their union in June 2022.
“According to Fleming, single Jasmine enjoys more freedom while married Jasmine is more cautious and considerate of her partner's feelings. Single Jasmine was like myself, ready to socialize, attend events, and have a good time. However, being married required a different mindset and adjusting to a more reserved and quieter version of herself. Fleming emphasized that in any marriage or relationship, women should have the freedom to do whatever they like."
