Carl Radke maintains his choice to call off his engagement to Lindsay Hubbard, although he acknowledges that he could have handled the situation more effectively. In an exclusive preview of the latest episode of Captain Lee Rosbach's podcast "Salty With Captain Lee," set to be released on Wednesday, November 8, Radke, aged 38, discusses his separation from Hubbard, aged 37, in two separate segments.
In the first audio clip from the candid conversation, Radke expresses his emotions, stating that the experience has been frightening, perplexing, and filled with strong emotions. He admits feeling remorseful about how everything unfolded and expresses a desire to make things easier or improve the situation if given the chance to go back in time.
However, despite these feelings, Radke maintains his belief that breaking up was the right decision. He firmly believes that going in separate directions from Lindsay will ultimately benefit both of them in the long term.
Radke and Hubbard, who announced their engagement in August 2022, had planned to have their wedding in Mexico this month. The upcoming season 8 of Summer House was originally set to showcase their wedding preparations until Radke informed producers about their upcoming separation.

Hubbard has since opened up about how “completely blindsided” she felt by the situation.
"I felt utterly humiliated. It would have been slightly more bearable if this conversation had taken place during our regular filming schedule over the summer," she exclusively revealed in the latest issue of Us, currently available. "But for [Carl] to contact the producers, arrange for cameras to be set up, and manipulate me into sitting down with him just to break up with me after we had already finished filming is truly terrifying. The entire world found out about it within 30 minutes of me."
In the meantime, Radke initially chose not to disclose much about his decision to end the relationship. However, he has recently attempted to share his side of the story with Lee, 73, who was supposed to officiate Radke and Hubbard's wedding.
"It has been an incredibly challenging and emotionally distressing period. Consequently, I have chosen to maintain a quiet stance in order to comprehensively reflect, show consideration, strive towards progress, and recover in a healthy manner," Radke articulates in a subsequent segment of Wednesday's podcast episode. "Undoubtedly, this has been an arduous ordeal."
Radke expresses his unwavering belief that the upcoming footage from season 8 of Summer House will provide further elucidation.
“With the airing of our show scheduled for January, we anticipate a significant viewership for this season, which may provide answers to many lingering questions,” he continues. “Viewers will gain a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in a decision like canceling a wedding and the magnitude of its impact.”
Charles Sykes/Bravo
Radke will be making an upcoming appearance on Lee's podcast following his public display of support for his Bravo colleague. Recently, Lee commended Radke for successfully navigating the challenging aftermath of a highly publicized separation. The captain expressed his disappointment at how people often choose sides in such situations, emphasizing that there are no winners, only both parties experiencing loss.
Lee stated that it is unnecessary to take sides and choose between Team Carl or Team Lindsay. They have their own issues to resolve, so it is best to let them have their space and focus on sorting out their problems. Make sure to listen to Carl Radke's complete episode on PodcastOne's "Salty With Captain Lee" on Wednesday, November 8.
