Fans of Summer House will finally see the events that led to the end of Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard's engagement. In a newly released trailer for season 8, Carl, 38, can be seen yelling at Lindsay, 37, for accusing him of drug use. This comes after Carl has been sober since January 2021, following the drug overdose death of his brother Curtis in August 2020.
In another part of the video, Bravo viewers saw Carl updating Kyle Cooke and new member Jesse Solomon on the problems in his relationship. Carl stated, "She's like, 'You're fighting with me.' She then goes into, 'What are you on? What are you on?'" In his confessional, Carl expressed, "That's the person I'm supposed to marry?"

In August 2023, it was revealed that the breakup of Carl and Lindsay was captured by the Summer House cameras prior to their scheduled November wedding.
"What do you want from me?" Lindsay inquired in an audio snippet from a heated argument highlighted in the trailer for Thursday. Carl responded, "I need you to have faith in me."
When Lindsay expressed her desire for her former fiancé's happiness, he had a revealing response.
"I'm not happy, and I don't believe you are either," Carl retorted. "It's essential in a relationship to have that control over the other person... You're really skilled at playing the victim."
In the midst of their breakup, Lindsay walked away, stating that Carl had "made the call" about their relationship.

"I anticipated a different reaction from her," Carl stated to the cameras. "She will need to reframe this and then convince everyone that she was caught off guard. I am willing to be seen as the antagonist, but she is oblivious to everything that has transpired over the past year."
During the summer of 2023, it became apparent that Carl and Lindsay weren't the only couple dealing with problems. Kyle, 41, and Amanda Batula also seemed to have multiple conflicts this season.
"You don't like it when I have an opinion," Amanda told her husband, to which Kyle responded, "Your opinion is nonsense."
In the trailer, Paige DeSorbo was seen confronting her boyfriend Craig Conover, expressing frustration with his unwillingness to compromise. The ongoing debate about the future of their relationship stems from the geographical challenge of Paige living in New York City and Craig residing in Charleston, South Carolina.
Newcomers Jesse and West Wilson are also making a bold entrance into Summer House. Jesse faces criticism from Kyle for allegedly flirting with women in relationships, while West finds an instant connection with Ciara Miller.
While the other story lines are sure to be explored throughout season 8, it appears that Carl and Lindsay’s ups and downs will come front and center.
