This was because Lindsay accused him of reverting back to his old habits as "cocaine Carl" during the current season when he disagreed with her perspective on a certain situation.

Kyle expressed his concern to Carl, questioning how many times Lindsay would blame him for things that were not his fault. He worried about Carl constantly taking the blame for situations that were not his responsibility.

Carl couldn't answer Kyle's question, but he talked to Lindsay about his frustrations later that day.
