Southern Charm star Taylor Ann Green expressed her dissatisfaction with Austen Kroll revealing to her ex-boyfriend Shep Rose that they had kissed, despite their mutual agreement to keep it a secret. Taylor, 28, shared her disappointment exclusively with us while discussing the episode of Southern Charm that aired on Thursday, October 12. She referred to Austen, 36, finally admitting to Shep, 43, about their "kiss" after several weeks of denying the encounter.
Taylor revealed to Us that initially she believed it was necessary for her and Austen to be completely honest and transparent, but Austen allegedly convinced her to maintain the secrecy. (During an earlier episode this season, Taylor had adamantly denied any romantic involvement with Austen. However, on Thursday's episode, Austen admitted to sharing a kiss with Taylor after her breakup with Shep. He then asserted that nothing else transpired between them.)
Taylor Ann Green and Austen Kroll discussed their conversation about dating. Austen dismissed the importance of a drunken kiss, but Taylor felt guilty for lying to her friend.
Taylor, who was in a two-year relationship with Shep before their breakup in July 2022, was unable to move past the fact that Austen had abandoned her. "I wish we were in agreement about this because I followed your advice," she expressed to Us.
Although Austen eventually admitted to kissing Taylor during the episode on Thursday, Taylor remained steadfast and only disclosed to Austen's ex Olivia, 31, that they had discussed the possibility of becoming a couple.
Olivia, who had dated Austen in 2022 and ended the relationship in October, directly asked Taylor if they had ever hooked up. Taylor denied it. Feeling slightly betrayed by Austen's change in plans, Taylor admitted to Us that she forgave him in the end. She expressed relief that the truth had been revealed and was no longer concealed.

During Thursday's episode, Taylor finally confided in Olivia, admitting that she had indeed kissed Austen shortly after he and Olivia had broken up. Unfortunately, the timing couldn't have been worse, as they were surrounded by friends and about to embark on a fancy dinner party.
"Looking back, I wish we had waited," Taylor reflected. "But I was so eager to ensure that Olivia heard it directly from me, and not from someone else. So I seized the moment as soon as she walked in, saying 'Hey, welcome.' In hindsight, maybe I should have taken her aside privately, but I just felt compelled to tell her. Austen had the opportunity to be open with his friend, and I wanted the same freedom with mine."
Taylor expressed that once she confessed the truth to Olivia, she felt a sense of relief. However, it was evident that she chose the wrong moment to alleviate her guilt.
"I wanted to give Olivia the opportunity to process things, which is why I was eager to meet up with her that morning," Taylor revealed. "Unfortunately, with cameras present, it was difficult to have the situation unfold as I had hoped. I felt guilty that she wasn't able to truly process what I had told her. With all of her friends around, she appeared bewildered and uttered, 'What twilight zone am I in?' I just wish she had been afforded more time to digest everything."
As for their current friendship status, Taylor revealed to Us that she and Olivia have temporarily set aside their differences. Following the tragic loss of their siblings this year – Taylor's brother in June and Olivia's brother in January – the two women have been able to prioritize their friendship and support each other.
Additionally, Taylor's romantic life has taken a positive turn lately. The Bravo star shared exclusively with Us that she is now in a relationship with a man named Gaston. It was through her connection with Southern Hospitality star TJ Dinch that Taylor and Gaston crossed paths.
"I have a strong sense of confidence and stability in our relationship, to the point where I don't perceive us as two individuals," she informed Us, mentioning that they recently solidified their commitment. "We have our independent pursuits, yet when we reunite, it feels incredibly organic and effortless."
