Rod Razavi from Southern Charm has no regrets about distancing himself from his relationship with Olivia Flowers following her tumultuous year. Speaking exclusively to We at BravoCon on Friday, November 3, the 40-year-old explained that considering the circumstances, it seemed logical to take a step back and prioritize maintaining a friendship. Rod further mentioned that when he noticed Olivia withdrawing emotionally, he found it easier to do the same.
Rod was just starting his relationship with Olivia when her brother, Conner, passed away in January. Recently, Olivia shared that the coroner determined Conner's cause of death as an accidental fentanyl overdose, which was a result of his ongoing battle with addiction following a long-term fight against Lyme disease. He was 32 years old at the time of his passing.

On the show and off, we experienced numerous challenges together. Even when we weren't filming, we invested a significant amount of time together," Rod shared with Us. He emphasized that despite their romantic separation, he and Olivia are still close friends. He expressed unconditional love for Olivia and solely desires her happiness. Rod further mentioned that he is currently single, although he does not possess knowledge regarding Olivia's current relationship status.
In addition to grieving her brother's loss, Olivia was also dealing with a breakup with her co-star Austen Kroll when Rod entered her life. Olivia confirmed in October 2022 that she and Austen, 36, had split, but viewers of Southern Charm learned during season 9 that their drama was far from over.
Rumors began circulating earlier this year that Austen had been involved with Olivia's best friend, Taylor Ann Green, shortly after his breakup with Olivia. While both Austen and Taylor, 28, initially denied these allegations, Austen eventually admitted on an October episode that he had kissed Taylor at the end of 2022.
The Southern Charm cast was shaken by the scandal, especially Taylor, who is also the ex-girlfriend of Bravo star Shep Rose. Additionally, Olivia's budding romance with Rod suffered in the aftermath. In a recent episode of the show, which aired on November 2, viewers discovered that Olivia had left her bra at Austen's place shortly after her brother's death, which made Rod uncomfortable. Austen clarified during the episode that nothing happened between him and Olivia. They simply cuddled, she hugged him, kissed his chest, and then left. Austen also expressed that he had no intention of trying to win her back because he didn't want to hurt her again.
Reflecting on the situation, Rod expressed that Bra-gate was a challenging experience for him to grapple with, especially since he was in the process of building a relationship with Olivia at that time. He acknowledged that it was only natural for him to have certain emotions about it, although he was uncertain whether his sentiments were justified. He shared that the circumstances surrounding the incident made it even more difficult to navigate. Austen, along with himself and others, offered invaluable support to Olivia, allowing her to mourn in her own way.
Rod jokingly commented that he would rather not have the incident occur on his couch, but he understood.
Meanwhile, Olivia explained exclusively to Us that taking off her bra at Austen's house was an innocent action. "Oh, my goodness. I was simply trying to get more comfortable, but unfortunately, it was not the appropriate place because the entire Charleston community found out about it the next day," she shared at BravoCon last Friday. "Therefore, I have decided not to repeat that behavior."
