Southern Charm alum Chelsea Meissner is officially a mom.
At one month postpartum, Meissner, 38, expressed her determination to prioritize her hair health. Being a hairstylist, she has witnessed various hair issues and wanted to establish a daily routine to minimize thinning and shedding. This update was shared on Meissner's now-expired Instagram Story on Thursday, October 19, according to People. Previously, the former reality star disclosed her pregnancy with her first child from an unidentified man, six months prior.
Meissner shared a video of ultrasound pictures on Instagram in April, reflecting on the power of the circle of life. She expressed uncertainty about being able to love another soul as much as she loved her late dog, Tyson, who passed away in August 2022. However, she revealed that she is now expecting a child. Meissner also hinted that the child's father is a new addition to her life, expressing gratitude for the strong women who have influenced her journey into motherhood and the support of an amazing man. She ended her post with a celebration of a "thick girl summer."
In August 2018, Meissner expressed her uncertainty about wanting children to her former Southern Charm costar, Cameran Eubanks, but mentioned that she may be open to the possibility in the future.
During the Southern Charm After Show, Meissner stated, "I don't actively contemplate having children, but witnessing [Cameran] with her child and seeing how much she adores Palmer has made me reconsider my stance. I don't want to completely rule it out at this point. However, it would require someone special to come into my life and change my perspective. It's difficult for me to envision myself as a parent, especially considering how fortunate I am to have my amazing dog. Having a child would be a whole new level of responsibility."

Having rose to fame in 2012 with her appearance on Survivor 24: One World, Meissner had a memorable journey, ultimately securing the third position. Transitioning into a new chapter, Meissner ventured into the reality TV realm once again, this time joining the cast of Southern Charm in its fourth season. Gracing the screen as a main cast member for both seasons 5 and 6, Meissner captivated audiences with her undeniable presence.
Meissner briefly dated her co-star Austen Kroll in 2017 while on the show. A year later, Kroll, 36, appeared to suggest that there was no chemistry between him and Meissner before they broke up. On Instagram, Kroll responded to a fan's comment claiming that he didn't put enough effort into his relationship with his former castmate by saying, "I need a woman with a strong sexual desire."
In May 2020, Naomie Olindo, a former cast member of Southern Charm, announced that she and Meissner would be leaving the Bravo show. This decision came after Eubanks departed the show amidst false rumors of infidelity.
"I am incredibly proud of you and our journey, @chelseameissner58," Olindo, who later made a return to the show, wrote in a comment on Eubanks' Instagram post about her departure from the Bravo series.
Following her departure before season 7, Meissner has remained dedicated to her career as a hairstylist in South Carolina.
