Drake's release of his latest track "Wick Man" on Friday brought attention from observant fans who noticed a notable name on the list of credits. This sparked a frenzy of speculation on social media about the identity of the individual who assisted the Canadian rapper in writing his hit song.
Among the credited co-writers was K. De Bruyne, leading some online to question if Kevin De Bruyne, the renowned football player from Belgium and Manchester City, had collaborated with Drake while recovering from his injury.
De Bruyne amusingly commented on X, previously known as Twitter, saying: ".@Drake required my assistance," before dismissing the speculations by stating: "Putting jokes aside, it isn't me! However, I am a massive fan!" Currently, the midfielder is unable to play due to an injury suffered on the first day of the Premier League in August.
Despite his absence, his team is leading the league. However, teammate Erling Haaland responded to De Bruyne's comment about Drake needing an assist by saying "not alone."
De Bruyne is renowned as one of the top creative midfielders in international soccer. Moreover, he holds the record for being the fastest player in history to achieve 100 assists in the Premier League. Currently, he has recorded 102 assists in the Premier League, ranking him fourth in the league's history.
