Raquel Leviss' mother, Laura Leviss, has responded to speculation regarding the reason behind rehoming Graham, the beloved dog of the Vanderpump Rules star.
Addressing the matter, Laura told Entertainment Tonight on Friday, July 21, that Raquel (using her 28-year-old daughter's birth name) enrolled Graham in behavior classes after her breakup with James Kennedy because he had bitten several people. Furthermore, Laura revealed that when Raquel entered the mental health facility, she requested for Graham to be cared for by her and her family, as they had previously done many times. However, during their care, Graham bit Laura, causing severe damage that reached the bone.
Laura shared an image of her injured finger, which was bleeding from a deep cut.
Raquel had adopted a puppy named Graham while she was dating Kennedy. During the seventh season of Vanderpump Rules, she even threw a lavish "puppy party" for him. However, their engagement ended in December 2021, and Raquel ended up with primary custody of Graham. Earlier this year, she sought treatment for her mental health after an affair with Tom Sandoval, a fellow cast member on Vanderpump Rules who was in a long-term relationship with Ariana Madix. As a result, Laura took on the responsibility of caring for Graham.
After allegedly injuring Laura, Graham prompted her to consult two doctors who both recommended euthanizing the dog. However, Laura strongly rejected this option and instead opted to seek a rehabilitation center at California Doodle Rescue. There, Graham could receive training from an experienced trainer to improve his behavior. Laura emphasized that neither she nor her daughter abandoned Graham and only wished for his well-being.
Laura reported that Graham had bitten two trainers at California Doodle Rescue, but despite this, they still made efforts to find him a new home. However, after allegedly biting his new owner, Graham was returned to the rescue. Following this, Lisa Vanderpump and her Vanderpump Dogs Rescue organization were called upon to assist in finding Graham a permanent home.
Since then, Kennedy has stepped in and taken Graham in. On Wednesday, July 19, he posted on Instagram, sharing pictures of himself, his girlfriend Ally Lewber, and the pup, captioning it with, "Look who found his way back home, back into my life. I promise to care for you forever, and I love you."

Raquel has not yet addressed Graham’s behavioral issues, but reportedly left her treatment facility earlier this month. On Tuesday, July 18, she was seen visiting her family in Tuscon, Arizona, wearing casual attire including shorts, a t-shirt, and a hat that read "Be a good person."
During her tell-all interview on "Call Her Daddy" after Scandoval's breakup, Madix expressed concerns about Graham. The 38-year-old owner of Something About Her revealed, "Rachel used to bring Graham to my house, and honestly, he was a handful. He even bit me once. I just want to put it out there that he's not well-trained and can be quite difficult."
