Jon Hamm and John Slattery's performance in a Vanderpump Rules reenactment has received high praise, even from James Kennedy. The England native, 31, took to Instagram to commend Hamm, calling him a "legend" and sharing a clip from their scene. Ariana Madix also showed her approval by liking the post.
Hamm and Slattery appeared on an episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on Tuesday, June 13. During the show, they reenacted a scene from a recent episode of Pump Rules, with Hamm playing Kennedy and Slattery portraying Tom Sandoval. Hamm truly embodied the role, putting on a British accent and mimicking the DJ’s movements. Despite the humorous nature of the skit, Kennedy expressed his admiration for Hamm, calling him a legend on his Instagram Story the following day.
Although Hamm was able to mimic Kennedy effortlessly, nailing his insults and mannerisms, Slattery seemed less familiar with Bravo's work and even wondered if he should adopt a British accent like Kennedy. It's worth noting that Sandoval, who is from Missouri, was the subject of the impersonations.
During his appearance on WWHL, the Top Gun: Maverick actor revealed his love for Bravo's reality TV shows. He attributed his recent interest in the genre to his connection with Cohen and the abundance of time during the pandemic. Hamm shared that he focuses on four shows in particular, namely Real Housewives of New York, Real Housewives of New Jersey, Southern Charm, and Vanderpump Rules, and has been fully immersed in them.
Kennedy confronted Sandoval about his affair with Raquel Leviss, which makes it an exciting time to start watching Vanderpump Rules. In March, it was confirmed that Madix ended her nine-year relationship with Sandoval after discovering the affair.
The reunion episode featured the cast confronting the secret lovers, which resulted in Sandoval breaking down in tears. However, Kennedy was quick to accuse him of faking it and urged him to compose himself. "You're not at the Oscars or an audition, so stop with the crocodile tears and be a man," Kennedy stated, using derogatory language.
"You're a clown with a terrible band," Kennedy continued, not holding back in his criticism of his former friend. "You're nothing, a nobody, a complete loser. And to top it off, your bar is going down the drain, you backstabbing hoe." Don't forget to catch What What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on Bravo Sundays through Thursdays.
