Raquel Leviss, in response to her affair with Tom Sandoval, made a noticeable alteration to her social media image. On Monday, July 17, sharp-sighted TikTok users observed that the 28-year-old updated her display name and handle on the platform to "Rachel Leviss". However, her Instagram account seems to remain unaltered.
Raquel rose to fame when she made her first appearance on Vanderpump Rules in 2016, joining the cast in season 5 with her then-boyfriend James Kennedy. The ups and downs of their relationship, including their engagement and subsequent breakup, were captured on the popular Bravo show.
While Raquel became a prominent figure on the series after more than five years, it was her actions offscreen that truly grabbed attention. In March, news broke that Sandoval, who is 41 years old, and Ariana Madix decided to end their nearly decade-long relationship due to his prolonged affair with Raquel.
The fallout from the cheating scandal became the central storyline of the recently filmed season finale and the three-part reunion special, which wrapped up in June. Lala Kent, Tom Schwartz, and other cast members expressed their allegiance to either Ariana or Sandoval and mercilessly targeted Raquel in the aftermath of the affair.
During the reunion, Raquel tried to defend herself and her relationship with Sandoval in front of her fellow cast members. She insisted, "Everyone makes mistakes. That applies to anyone in this room."

During a fiery confrontation caught on camera, Lala and Raquel engaged in a spirited debate over the significance of their respective nicknames. Lala firmly argued that shortening her name from "Lauren" presented a distinct contrast to Raquel, who adopted an entirely new name despite being born as Rachel. Lala proceeded to advise her fellow cast member to consider a psychological evaluation, prompting Raquel to seek professional assistance by checking herself into a facility amidst mounting criticism.
During a June episode of The View, Raquel's persona became a source of disagreement for Lala. When Joy Behar and the other hosts raised doubts about the authenticity, Lala revealed the supposed backstory behind Raquel's name.
"Originally, her name was Rachel," Lala clarified. "However, when she turned 5, she requested to change it because there was a famous ballerina named Raquel living across the street. So, it seems that issues of identity have been present for quite a while."
In the following month, Lala admitted feeling uncomfortable after witnessing the mistreatment of Raquel during the reunion. She expressed her concern about the suitability of having someone like Raquel on a reality TV show. Lala mentioned that the experience can be challenging and questioned whether Raquel should be a part of this platform.
As season 11 of Pump Rules begins production, it remains uncertain whether Raquel will be involved. Producers are dedicated to supporting Raquel's treatment as she prepares to leave the mental health facility. Both parties are hopeful that a resolution can be reached, allowing Raquel to receive the necessary treatment while still being included in the show.
