Former Beverly Hills, 90210 costars Tori Spelling and Shannen Doherty have shared many things over the years, including a connection with Brian Austin Green.

During the Monday, April 22 episode of Spelling's "Misspelling" podcast, Doherty, who was the guest, revealed to Spelling that she had hooked up with Brian, a fact that Spelling had not known before listening to the podcast.

Doherty shared that she had a brief fling with Green when she was further along in her career. It happened after her time on Beverly Hills, 90210, maybe during her time on Charmed.

During their hookup, Doherty and Green quickly realized that it wasn't a good match. The kissing felt awkward and didn't make sense, leading them to agree that it wasn't going to work out. Spelling even mentioned that she couldn't picture Doherty and Green kissing.

Doherty expressed, "I can't imagine it now, either. That's why it didn't go anywhere because it was awkward. It was super awkward. There were no fireworks. We were so close, and we had known each other like we were little kids essentially."

She went on to say, "I love Brian, he's one of my favorite humans. But there was no spark."

Spelling didn't seem upset by the news, mentioning, "he was never mine." Meanwhile, Doherty made a joke about how they "shared Brian's saliva."

In another part of the episode, Spelling talked about her short relationship with Green. This happened while they were both on Beverly Hills, 90210, where they played the on-again, off-again couple David and Donna for all 10 seasons of the show.

Spelling revealed to Doherty that she was unfaithful to the guy she first had sex with when she was 18 years old, with Green.

"I was completely in love with Brian Green," she remembered, mentioning that she always considers Green as "the first love of my life."

Spelling admitted that she was young and deeply involved in the relationship, while Doherty described it as more of a teenage infatuation rather than true love.

Even after 30 years, Spelling clarified that they are just friends. She expressed her fondness for his fiancée and emphasized that her feelings for him are not romantic. However, any interaction with him still manages to stir up old emotions, transporting her back to her 18-year-old self. (These sentiments were echoed in Spelling's first book, where she confided in Jennie Garth about believing she was in love with him during the filming of David and Donna's wedding for the Beverly Hills, 90210 finale in 2000.)

Spelling and Green had multiple public relationships while working on Beverly Hills, 90210 and beyond. Green first dated Tiffani Thiessen, who played Val on the show, before moving on to Vanessa Marcil, who portrayed Gina. Following the show, Green had a turbulent relationship with Megan Fox that began in 2004. They tied the knot in 2010 but finalized their divorce in 2022. The former couple have three children: Noah (10), Bodhi (9), and Journey (6). Green has also welcomed a son, Zane (21 months), with his fiancée Sharna Burgess.

On the other hand, Spelling married Charlie Shanian in 2004. After an affair with Dean McDermott, they got married in May 2006. However, Spelling recently filed for divorce after facing challenges in their marriage over the past few years. The couple share five children: Liam (17), Stella (15), Hattie (12), Finn (11), and Beau (7).
