"When I was first chosen for the role, I was flattered but also aware of the responsibility of representing people of color. I knew that being Filipino was likely a factor in my selection," Giudici shared on Instagram in June 2020. "I didn't see myself as a potential fiancée for him because I assumed Sean had a certain type. I thought I was there just to fulfill a diversity requirement, but I ended up gaining so much more. As Sean began to see the real me, I allowed myself to be open to the possibility of being fully loved and valued for who I am. I ended up representing a mixed-race community, finding Christ (I LOVE my testimony!), and marrying the most amazing man I've ever known. I can confidently say that doing the show was one of the best things that ever happened to me."

While the majority of couples on The Bachelor never made it to the altar, Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici have managed to survive the reality TV curse.
Lowe took on the role of the lead in season 17 of The Bachelor after previously appearing on Emily Maynard's season of The Bachelorette. He was known as the "Virgin Bachelor" due to his decision to remain abstinent until marriage.

The beginning of the couple's story unfolded during the premiere of season 17, as Giudici stepped out of the limo to meet Lowe. Even though she didn't go on a one-on-one date until week 6, there was a strong connection between them right from the start.

2013
In the March 2013 finale, Lowe's last two contestants, Giudici and Lindsay Yenter, were introduced to his family. Ultimately, he ended his relationship with Yenter and received a deeply emotional letter from Catherine expressing her feelings for him. Upon seeing Giudici, he proposed, she accepted, and the two exchanged declarations of love.

Lowe and Giudici exchanged vows in a public wedding ceremony at the Four Seasons Resort Biltmore in Santa Barbara, California in January 2014. The wedding was presided over by Sean's father, Jay Lowe.

2015
The couple made their appearance on season 4 of Celebrity Wife Swap in 2015, swapping spouses with former Bachelor Jason Mesnick. Following this, they joined other reality star couples on season 6 of Marriage Boot Camp, where they worked through their issues alongside other couples. This season consisted of 10 episodes and aired until February 2016.

The couple welcomed their first child, a son named Samuel Thomas Lowe, on July 2.

Sixteen months after welcoming their first son, the reality stars announced they were expecting again. On May 18, they welcomed a second son, Isaiah Hendrix Lowe.

The family grew even more on June 19, with the arrival of their first daughter, Mia Mejia Lowe. "I’ve always dreamt of having a daddy’s girl and now I do," Lowe shared on Instagram. "Mia is thriving, Mama is doing wonderful, and God is so kind!"

On November 16, Giudici expressed her birthday wishes for her partner on Instagram, saying, "Happy birthday to the man that makes every single moment better. You are everything to me and I can’t imagine going through life with a better partner. Seven years ago, I tied the knot with my best friend,” Lowe shared in a wedding throwback on Instagram in January 2021. “I’m incredibly grateful that she hasn’t realized I’m not worthy of her, because once she does, I’m pretty convinced she’ll trade me in for Shia LaBeouf. In the meantime, I’m going to continue cherishing the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
Giudici celebrated her anniversary by sharing a wedding photo, expressing, “After seven years, I still find so much joy in holding your hand. Lowe posted on Instagram to mark his 40th birthday, saying, "Celebrated 40 with my final rose recipient and it could not have been a better trip.
