Bachelor Star Bekah Martinez Welcomes Surprise New Addition to Her Growing Family!
'Bachelor' star Bekah Martinez and Grayston Leonard joyfully welcome their third child, marking a beautiful milestone in their love story after their engagement in July 2022

Bachelor Nation recently expanded with the arrival of Bekah Martinez and Grayston Leonard's third child. Martinez, 28, shared a heartwarming Instagram video on October 2, captioned with the news that their newest addition was born on September 28th, which also happens to be Leonard's birthday. In the video, their older children Ruth, 4, and Franklin, 3, can be seen reading a book to their new sibling.
Numerous fans and notable personalities expressed their congratulations in the comments section of the post. Rumer Willis shared, "Welcome sweet one," while Lauren Burnham Luyendyk exclaimed, "Awwwww congrats."
In April 2023, The Bachelor alum and Leonard, aged 34, who commenced their relationship in early 2018, disclosed their plans of growing their family even more.
Martinez captioned a claymation video in which a cartoon version of herself takes a pregnancy test and excitedly shows the positive results to Leonard. This playful social media pregnancy announcement adds a touch of fun to the news. Shockingly, Martinez and the fitness trainer's big reveal happened less than a year after their engagement in July 2022. Their relationship has been anything but ordinary, as Martinez first announced her pregnancy only a few months into their romance with Leonard.
"I couldn't believe it and wondered, 'Is this actually happening?'" Martinez recalled in a September 2018 interview with PureWow. "I promptly dialed Grayston and rushed to the Dollar Tree across the street to purchase two additional pregnancy tests. Naturally, they both yielded positive results."
In February 2019, six months after their daughter's arrival, Martinez expressed her contemplation about expanding their family.
Martinez exclusively told We in August 2019 that she would be content with having five or six children. However, for the time being, they planned to keep it to just their first child, Ruth, for a couple of years. They found it convenient to travel with her and decided to wait to expand their family further.
In November of the same year, the couple received the news that they were expecting another baby. Martinez shared in December that her second pregnancy was a completely different experience compared to her first.
"Time flies during pregnancy, and I'm amazed at how quickly these 12 weeks have passed," Martinez shared on Instagram, accompanied by a photo showcasing her uncovered baby bump. "Last time, I felt embarrassed and ashamed, constantly imagining that people were judging us as 'irresponsible.' Gray[ston] and I had only met on February 25th, 2018, and I discovered I was pregnant in May. Going through such a life-changing experience with someone you barely know can be stressful, scary, and filled with doubt. However, everything changed when Ruth was born. Truly. It may sound like a cliché, but our love for each other blossomed so deeply the moment she took her first breath. That very night, as she slept, we danced together in the living room."
In June 2020, Martinez gave birth to their second child.
Martinez disclosed that she was on her way to becoming a foster parent before the arrival of her and Leonard's third child.
"I haven't informed you all yet, but I was officially sworn in as a CASA (Court-Appointed Special Advocate) during my trip to Oregon. Currently, I am in the process of being matched with a foster youth!" she announced through her Instagram Stories in August 2022. "I am patiently awaiting an official court appointment order, but in the meantime, I must review the child's documents and history with the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). It is no small task."
