Scheana Shay: Jax Is an 'Idiot' for 'Liking' Fan Comment, Should Have Married Stassi Instead

Scheana Shay was not shocked by the breakup of Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright. She believes Taylor is at fault and does not hold him in high regard. During her appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on Tuesday, April 9, Shay expressed that Taylor needs to work on himself. She also stated that Brittany deserves better treatment and respect, which Taylor has not been providing.

Taylor, 44, recently "liked" an Instagram comment from a fan who suggested he should have married his ex, Stassi Schroeder, instead. When asked about this, she simply responded, "What an idiot."

Taylor and Schroeder, 35, were in a relationship during the first two seasons of Vanderpump Rules. However, they broke up after Schroeder found out that Taylor had cheated on her with their costar Kristen Doute.

Shay had a lot to say about Taylor, especially criticizing him for spreading false information about their show and her as a mother. She expressed her frustration, stating, "He’s had the audacity to say some very false narratives about our show and about me as a mom."

Cartwright, who is 35 years old, shared a similar reaction to Taylor's "like" on Instagram. During an episode of Amanda Hirsch's podcast "Not Skinny But Not Fat" on Tuesday, April 8, Hirsch inquired about Cartwright's thoughts on the social media buzz.

Cartwright responded, calling it "very weird" and "creepy."

Shay mentioned on WWHL that she wasn't shocked to learn about Cartwright and Taylor's sexless marriage. Host Andy Cohen even mentioned that Cartwright had confided in Shay about it.

Cartwright opened up in an interview with We, describing her marriage as feeling more like living with a roommate. She shared that she reached her "breaking point" in the relationship.

She expressed, "I felt inadequate. When you begin to sense that your partner is disinterested in you and treating you poorly, you start questioning why you are in that relationship."

She emphasized that for the relationship to be saved, Taylor needs to do more than simply apologize and move forward.

She expressed her concerns, stating that if things do not improve, they cannot continue to be together as they would both be unhappy. She mentioned that she does not want to spend the rest of her life feeling unhappy, being in a sexless marriage, or constantly arguing with her husband.

Taylor and Cartwright met in 2015 and got married in 2019. They share son Cruz, 3, born in 2021.
